Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBeing ignored by staff, both via email and at the spa. Not friendly when checking out. We also got food poisoning from the buffet with fevers and vomiting. Explained this the next day just to let staff know for safety and they ignored us. We still paid for everything and the meals we vomited, but the reception was awful when we tried to tell them what had happened.
Beautiful pool and area

AustraliaOverall we had numerous things go wrong which we would not expect for such an international and large resort, very underwhelming and disappointing (these issues were raised with management). - 3 hours to check in (yes we were early but even so they were not accommodating and were late after the check in time. We had to ask numerous times if we could check into our room AFTER 2PM which is not acceptable when you know the customer is already waiting around so at least have the room ready by check in time! Reception checked in with cleaning if we could go in early and it seems they forgot about us (they were laughing about it on the phone) and had to push for the room to be cleaned. -No pool towels available for 6+ hours (we were told from numerous guests this was very common) -No eggs for breakfast, claim they could not get them?! -Room rate charged incorrectly and when I contacted them took 3 weeks for a refund and numerous follow up emails when the payment should have been made automatically correct as was off booking.com -Airport Transfer was forgotten after reconfirming at check in (only there for one night) so had to wait for 30-40 more minutes for pick up -Mould in shower area -Wild Ginger food was excellent but we were only asked ONE TIME during the two hours sitting for drinks, staff were just standing around talking instead of serving customers (they were friendly) Such a shame as the place has huge potential but needs lots of attention and care as would not recommend to friends or family unless these things are rectified.
Location of villa opposite the water and Wild Ginger Restaurant FOOD was fantastic! Pool and live shows were great!

New ZealandThe whole area has been hit hard by the recent cyclones, but the team did their best with what they have to make us comfortable.
Vanuatu and the reason we visit is all about the people. The Warwick emphasizes this in spades with the kindest, most friendly staff in all areas of the resort. We're were a family group of eight adults and two infants and had the most awesome holiday and are planning our return one day.

AustraliaReception is a disaster. The staff are never around in the evening, you have to call them from their office. The duty managers show very little interest in the guests needs. There is no WiFi in the rooms and limited wifi around the reception, bar and pool areas. Its expensive around USD25 for 24 hours, which hotel these days charges for WiFi and then you can receive it in your room?
Service at all the bars was great and the staff show an interest in the guests.

AustraliaThe check in/out was absolutely terrible! We had to wait for two hours (which young children) to be check in to our room even though check in is at 2pm we were not able to get in till 4pm. And check out was the same experience I called reception multiple times with no answer staring from 10am trying to get help in the rain to get our bags to check out and it wasn’t until 1:15pm that someone came down to help us and by that point my children were very hungry and tired! Front desk staff need a lot more training in efficiency and hospitality. The resort itself was incredible but I probably wouldn’t stay here again based on the disorganisation of the staff.
The resort itself was spectacular! Beautifully designed and great range of things to do! The pool was great and the buffet choices were far beyond what I have experienced at other places in Vanuatu.

AustraliaThe prices were high,a large bottle of water was $8-10 from the resort. The buffet could of had more options was similar every day.We had a leak in our room and it took all day for the staff to try and organise a new room, but we didn’t end up moving because we liked our view.Lots of flies lying by the pool but I think that’s just Vanuatu.
The pool area and swim up bar,The view and the adult activity list and different theme nights, the room view, the staff, the location. Shower was the biggest shower I’ve ever seen! The taxi guys were really lovely and the water activity guys were lovely also, showed us how to do coconut husking!

AustraliaWe stayed at Warwick Le Lagon for 6 nights in the 2 bedroom pool villa. For the price we paid we would have expected a room that had no issues. On day 3 our power went out throughout the villa and we had to move all of our belongings into a 1 bedroom villa only to find that once a bed was bought in for my son, we had no room to move so once again we were moved back to the original villa once they sorted out the issue. Then on day 6 the air-conditioning stopped working in the villa. The service throughout the resort was extremely slow and multiple calls had to be made to reception to follow up issues and amenities showed severe signs of aging and no maintenance was completed on broken tiles in the pool etc. Pool towels were scarce and you were lucky to have found 1. We tried to book a couples massage and the massage therapist brushed us off saying she was too busy to help us book an appointment for days later and walked off on us so we never booked it. Paying just over $6000 for 6 nights, you would expect 5 star service and this definitely was not. The food at the buffet was poor quality but the wild ginger restaurant was nice. Management really need to step up their game and fix this resort up. The staff are super friendly though and always had a smile on their face.
The views from our room.

AustraliaPre check-in communication was quite slow (no response for several days) which made it a far longer process than it should have been to book the shuttle bus from the Airport. Dinner in the main restaurant was very expensive and options at the smaller Wild Ginger were somewhat limited. None of the staff ever smiled or seemed like they had any interest in helping, which made it feel like we were burdening them for ordering food or asking a question. They have so few towels available for the pool that every time we went, there were none left (the pool wasn't even particularly busy). I organised a shuttle to the airport as well over email but had to re-organise when we arrived as they hadn't booked it, then had to re-organise it twice more as every time we went back to reception they had completely forgotten about our previous interactions (even though it was the same staff member each time!), so we had no confidence waking up at 4am for our flight that we would actually be picked up. Thankfully we were, but that was after a night of unnecessary worry. WiFi is not free and the daily rates were very expensive. We stayed in much cheaper places across the islands and all had free WiFi.
Our private bungalow was very spacious and comfortable with all the necessary ammenities. The pool area was big enough that you could keep your distance from other people. The activity centre, while a bit rundown, was fun to have a game of table tennis. The buffet breakfast was great. Generally, a very well-kept place.

AustraliaLack of staff and training. Service was slow, staff didn’t look happy and even told me to complain as the service is slow and comes from management. Always out of pool towels and towels for the rooms. Cleaning of rooms wasn’t thorough. Buffet breakfast and dinner was average, not worth the money for the dinner buffet. Lack of information in the rooms about how to contact staff or housekeeping or for food service.
Great facilities, renovated rooms and pool area.
