Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNothing, to be honest.
Really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, always willing to help, and provide assistance anytime a guest or visitor passed. Greeted everyone and each other with smiles all day. Noticed that they also enjoyed working together and at the Hotel, loved hearing their laughter throughout the day.Enjoyed the nightlife at the bar as well. Meeting lots of different people and visitors

New ZealandHotel is run down!! It's not the milenia of old, our rooms were not ready when we arrived. And we booked at least a month before, our check in was for 9pm and we arrived after 10pm so there's no excuses why it shouldn't have been ready.. Some of the ladies were very rude.. unprofessional and very confrontational. Signs of bad customer service if you ask me. Every time we went to reception to ask for something you could hear them saying in Samoan(oh look wonder what he wants now) or they all look at each other and say you go no you go you go like it's some sort of game There was no toilet paper in our rooms on the first night, and every time it ran out we had to ask them for more it was never restocked at all during our stay. We had to ask every time.. Our towels were never replaced we asked them to replace it and they would say for us to return our old ones before we could get new ones. In our whole stay there 7days our room was only cleaned twice!!! And that was only because we kept nagging at them too to have it done. That was probably the most frustrating part! It almost felt as if they were expecting us to clean our own rooms, beds, rubbish. Very disappointed.. the worse thing about it is when you walk into the lobby the ladies(workers) are all sitting there having a laugh and all that while the boys are outside doing the cleaning. Surely these lady's could have helped with cleaning the rooms or something like that?? The ONLY good thing about that hotel is that it's near the city and convenient to shops markets and all the stores. That's it. Other than that.. do not book a stay there unless your willing to go thru what we did..,
The hotel boys staff were very friendly and helpful.. always asking us if we needed anything or help with shopping to be taken upstairs. So they were great

AustraliaPoor service. The reason why I've mentioned this is because we got there at the reception and they said to pay for $490 but I already paid for the 2 days and I was paying the full amount. They should updated there system before we arrived at the property. Secondly we got inside the Family room I booked the Family room which is 2 doubles and requested 1 single and once we got there it was the only 2 singles and 1 double, and the AC wasn't even cold for the 4 hours and we reported it to the receptionist and they just realised to used the other remote instead the one that was in the room. I decided that I will never ever going to stay in this property anymore when I visit again.
I just liked the view that was it.

United StatesIt was the worst hotel experience ever. Too many drunk people around. Too loud at night & a stranger banged on our door at 1:30 AM asking if his friend can come sleep in our room. At 2:00 AM a group of young people who I had asked nicely to leave our balcony area earlier so we could sleep came back again to hang out right outside our balcony area. I had to ask them again to leave so we could sleep. There were 5 of them. My family felt so unsafe & won’t ever stay there again. It’s not for families. It’s right next to a night club & there’s pretty much fights every night we were there. They need a security guard at night to wander the premises so what happened to us won’t happen to anyone else where some drunk is banging on our door at 1:30 AM looking for a place to sleep. Worst hotel experience ever.

AustraliaTLDR: It's an outdated hotel in need of a serious renovation & perhaps a WHS/OHS inspection. Bring your own amenities, beware of the pool tiles and expect to get what you pay for (Cheap rate = Cheap facilities). Wouldn't stay again. BATHROOM: The only amenity received was a bar of soap, an old bar of soap was sitting on the window sill in the shower, mould lined parts of the rubber lining & tiles in the shower, some towels were stained/ripped(replaced upon request), no bin liner or extra toilet rolls(fixed immediately upon request), spotted(and eradicated) a couple roaches. ROOM: Only had 3 beds even though the hotel informed me that an extra bed would automatically be added to the room when booking for 4pax (fixed immediately upon request). FYI bedding is just one top & bottom sheet plus pillows & only one room key is supplied. Patio furniture was one plastic chair - staff were able to retrieve 3 more chairs and a table upon request. FACILITIES: The pool is a MAJOR HAZARD and booking.com's pictures are outdated. Most if not all of the tiles have fallen off and not been replaced so there's algae growing in its place. A young child sliced the bottom of her toe whilst playing in the kids pool too. Breakfast - It's just cold toast & warm milk for cereal. Shuttle transfer - driver speeds as mentioned in previous reviews however I didn't mind that part of his driving as it was controlled BUT he did almost fall asleep so...
Staff are friendly & tend to requests quickly, spacious room, located next to The Amanaki Hotel(one of the best restaurants in Apia) and close to Apia town(15min stroll or taxi costs ~WST$5)

United StatesThe shuttle ride from the airport was not safe. The driver was speeding. Be prepared to pay for just about everything, signs all over the lobby wall. Room key deposit, no guests in rooms, pay for wifi, but that's a waste because the wifi SUCKED! Didn't work at all. I requested an alternative solution, and their suggestion was for me to buy a sim card and add money to it!!! This was the first night! When entering the room, we were greeted by several roaches... in the shower, near the toilet and sink as well as in the refrigerator. The room was dirty, we stayed only 3 nights and were forced to move to a different hotel. The room was never cleaned after each night. The pool was a hazard, missing tiles and sharp edges. My son cut his hand on the pool ground. They need to drain the pool and fix the pool, seriously. The complimentary breakfast would benefit from an upgrade of items. The milk for cereal was served warm. This place is a you get what you pay for the spot, and I do not recommend it at all. Major upgrades are needed!
The convenience to Apia, it's a quick 15-20 minute walk.

New ZealandThe aircon wasn’t working properly. We had asked to move to another room with better aircon and were told they were fully booked yet the room next door to us was vacant. The bathroom had flooded on our second night due to a leaky pipe and they couldn’t do anything about it. We were told the repairman came to work without his tools and couldn’t fix it and could only offer towels to lay all over the floor.
Some of the staff were accomodating. Location was great and close to town.

New ZealandThe pool is an actual safety concern. You need to wear shoes in it, as all of the tiles are broken and smashed. The deeper part was filthy. The worker was just free pouring chlorine in it, assuming to give it a shock treatment. However, it needed far more than the sprinkle he put in. Also, the pool is essentially in the car park. Beds are hard and not comfortable. The room was huge, but amenities are very limited. One face cloth, fridge didn't work, air con unit could do with a good clean, not to mention the room could benefit from a thorough deep clean. The wifi doesn't exist, and they will try charge you for the free digicel simcard that is provided to all visitors all over samoa. Even using personal data won't work in the rooms as they are cement and block the signal. Facilities are very lack luster, we arrived in late and were unable to get any milk, bottled water or juice as the bar had just closed. Breakfast was ok, pancakes, toast an cereal. We stayed one night an checked out as we have a small child, and it just wasn't safe or enjoyable for him.
The location is good if you need to be somewhere central in Apia. Good value for money if you want something budget. Staff try their best, and I'm sure in it's day it was something spectacular.

AustraliaBed was hard and uncomfortable, our shower didn't have a shower head and i have told the staff about it, nothing was done about it. There was no aircon remote nor tv remote until i told the staff and they handed it to me. Bathroom is very run down. Ants in the room. I have stayed here before and rooms were better back than. Rooms need more TLC. I would recommend this place but the price we have paid for what we got was disappointing this time round. Perfect location central to many places especially in town. But this experience this time round was quiet disappointed due to condition of the rooms.

New ZealandThe pool had broken tiles that you could easily cut yourself on (one of the kids in the pool had cut his foot the day before) and had rubbish floating in it. The rooms had leaking ceilings. Our room wasn't serviced. Had to go and ask at reception if you wanted anything (toilet paper, soap). The bare minimum for a hotel. No water or milk in our fridge. A couple of sachets of tea but no coffee.
Great location. Millenia has the potential to be great, if only it was maintained. The sheets were clean. Only one pillow each. No extra linen in the room. Breakfast was ok.. very basic. Glad I took my own coffee. Air con was ok but the machine was a bit broken. Grateful for a hot shower (not great pressure though)

AustraliaPorter took me on a circuit just to get to the room which was on the bottom floor, we passed the room went up to the upper level then back down to the ground floor & found the room right in front of the entrance. Although the room was clean, the floor in the bathroom was very wet. Also no clean towels in bathroom - had to get from reception. Lastly had ordered an airport drop off & thought it had been paid all together with the room. More explanation is needed at check in so that I the customer isn’t inconvenienced. Was an exhausting experience but still happy with the hotel
Receptionist was polite & very helpful. Change of room at short notice was appreciated.

New ZealandWe got terrible room service! We had to use the same sheets for 6 days and the same towels for 4 days because they wouldn't service the room or replace the towels even when we followed their instructions to get them replaced! We also had to buy our own sim cards for mobile data because they apparently don't offer wi-fi, even though it was advertised!
The air-conditioning was great! The swimming pool was great. The restaurant and restaurant food were ok. It didn't look the best and the food presentation and flavors were ok, but the prices were good!
