Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe night club next doors boom boom music. I was up early every morning for meetings so wasn't the greatest sleeps. Rubbish bins being emptied sometimes as early as 4am was also not a highlight. Shower door didnt close properly in the deluxe room I stayed in so bathroom floor got wet every time I showered. Bathroom only had half roll of toilet paper when I checked in but I had brought some previously so was using my own supply. No soap, shampoo or anything like that but once again I had my own supply. For a deluxe advertised room I would of expected some kind of soap in the bathroom, that was my expectation as the room was not cheap. There was no kettle but 2 cups with 1 packet of sugar, 1 coffe sachet, and 1 tea bag. Not sure where you're suppose to get hot water from. Sliding door to the balcony did not lock so always took valuables with me when leaving the room. Rooms are not sound proof so you can hear everything from the rooms next door vice versa. Swimming pool is in great need of maintenance re vamp. Tiles missing and glue and concrete mixed with bugs and chlorine not such a great mix to swim in. Tv remote didnt work but tv did.
Location is perfect. Close to town centre and where other family stayed. Air con was great. Hot water great. Small fridge great! Lobby is great space to congregate and wait. Always tidy and felt welcoming. Free breakfast with the room was great. Would of loved to have some koko as a drinking option though. Wish it started earlier but finish time is great for those sleeping in 7am-10am.

New ZealandHotel services. Booked for 3 guests. Kitchen utilities/cutlery only serviced 1.5 people. No room service so was constantly requesting for necessities ie: toilet paper change of towels. No security - had beggars enter our privacy on the deck. My Dad also was surprised with another beggar who was slowly walking up the back stairway entrance to our room noticing the door was open but couldn’t see us on the deck. As my Dad was entering the room he was half way up the stairway & got a fright when met with my Dad to whom my Dad greeted which only then he turned and went back down the stairway.

AustraliaHaving to ask for fresh towels. Had to go reception with our old towels to get new towels. No biggie.
Good budget hotel. Saw alot of bad reviews but thought we might give Millenia the benefit of the doubt. Our bed was comfy, staff were nice. Great location, stones throw away from the city centre. Although, our rooms were not serviced during the duration of our stay of 6-nights I prefer the privacy of noone entering my room when I'm not around. There is a club attached to the hotel so if you are staying poolside like we did you wont have to worry about noise.

AustraliaFirst, when we checked in, "The rooms have been equipped with air conditioning." was not working correctly, and one of the rooms smelled smoke and sting. We asked to change rooms straight away. I like the rooms, but the problem is cockroaches, and small insects crawl inside the room, the fridge has no shelves, no toiletries, no toilet paper, and the pool has broken tiles and sharp edges, which is very dangerous. I return home with so many cuts under my feet and my legs. The hotel is pretty comfortable and big, but it needs to be upgraded to suit the price, especially the deluxe room .

AustraliaNeeds a bit of renovating. The pool, the AC units & the bathrooms are all a bit rundown.
Very relaxed, staff were friendly & helpful. The bar had a great atmosphere. We like that it’s is close to town, a great spot to base yourself if touring the island.

AustraliaThis hotel needs a lot of renovations. The swimming pool has broken tiles, and the edges are very, very sharp, especially the kids' pool. The room has no toiletries on arrival, including toilet paper. There are significantly small cockroaches and little insects inside the room, which is terrible. The fridge had no shelf I was staying in the deluxe room, and it didn't look like deluxe.
I enjoyed the size of the room; it was big enough.

New ZealandIt is located by the sea, but there is no beach.
The budget hotel is a 30-minute walk from the center of Apia. The room is simple, but functionally everything is there. Good swimming pool. Nice cafe and dinner.

New ZealandI think its not cleaned everyday we had a deluxe room for two nights and the rest on standard room but i think the air con of the standard room is better than the deluxe. Their pillows some have no pillow cases and looked stained and dirty. Towels were wet seem like the previous tenant used it and now left for the next. It was so disgusting. Breakfast is the worst

New ZealandThe room is in urgent need of a renovation. The bathroom is stained and dated. The air conditioning looked in need of a service and clean. Cleaning could be better. Especially the bathroom sink. The pool area is nice but the pool itself was always dirty and tiles grout coming off. I swam once briefly, not again.
Loved the staff and felt secure and safe at all times. The size of the room was excellent and balcony with views of the garden and harbour. Location was amazing close to Apia town via a short walk along the harbour wall. Park and taxi virtually across the road. Walking distance to some excellent restaurants and bars.
