Needs an overhaul.”Although undeniably located in the best spot in Prizren, the hotel is an 'aging lady' which needs renovation. Had mostly old-style two-pin plugs with the wrong spacing, even when house staff tried to jerry-rig a solution. And when the internet worked (in my room), it was spotty at best and very slow. Although lots of eating tables were available, the breakfast food buffet was wedged into a small serving area which ensured that guests were constantly bumping into each other while making selections. Much of the table area could have been re-purposed for the buffet spread. Did not find most of the food worthwhile. Made short work of breakfast and had an early getaway for the splendid mountainous ski area east of the city on the way to Tetovo.
Air conditioning worked very well.

United Kingdom26 reviews1 helpful vote“The oven of Prizren”The first room’s toilet didn’t have a working flush mechanism. I moved to another room & discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working. I looked at another room but the fridge had been removed from the cupboard (I guess not working) & there was a double mattress on the floor as if it was being stored in the room The sun was beating down on the windows of the room & the temperature was in the late 30s. The fridge had a putrid green slime underneath it which I asked the hotel to clean & they did. Although technically working the fridge did not chill anything. The staff did try to help & were friendly but I got the impression the hotel needs to replace multiple broken old appliances. A real shame as the location is great.
The location is excellent, next to the stone bridge & in walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff are friendly & try to help.

The room was on a very loud street, with taxis coming and going just underneath my window (2nd floor). So yes, I had a mountain view, but no - couldn`t see a mountain because of broken window blinds plus needed to keep the window closed until 5 am because of noise and car fumes. The heater totally fell apart, but well it was summer. - Not very clean: There were facial hairs from a shave in the sink. - Loud: Firstly the street, and secondly the rooms of checked-out neighbors were cleaned from 7:30 by loudly talking staff. Recreation goes differently. - Health is of no interest here: Greasy breakfast. In the hotel next to me were families with noisy children and overwhelmed mothers.
I booked an economy room, but was given a more comfortable room for the same price. The bed and bedsheets were clean. The shower worked fine. After asking the staff, I was given a fan in the room.
