Perfect in many aspects. it’s just off the main road, and has a great view. Very nice and welcoming staff. We stayed in the basic double room, good heating system, great water pressure with hot water. We also had a delicious dinner there. They serve some homemade goodies (Their biscuits are delicious). Looking forward to coming back.

Everything! Such a great. relaxing and special place to stay. We planned to eat out in Keswick some evenings as we were staying for 3 nights. However we couldn’t drag ourselves away as the food was all fantastic. We also loved the way that dogs were treated. They could go everywhere too. They even had a sink outside for muddy paws with warm water and fresh towels.

Amazing hospitality the main staff member was brilliant, she very kindly gave us an upgraded room and ensured we could fit in for dinner. So polite and helpful throughout our stay. The room was lovely cosy but very spacious! The pub was delightful and the food at dinner was very tasty. We will definitely return!

Loved the surprise champagne and upgrade to our room for our silver wedding anniversary. The lovely desert "happy anniversary" chocolates. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Grounds were stunning. Facilities, well kept. Hot tub outdoors with well-kept gardens.

Stunning location and the cottage had a comfortable, lived-in feel that meant you could relax. It had a lovely layout and was spacious for a cottage of its type. It had everything you need for a stay away, the kitchen had plenty of bits and bobs.

Although in a rural location, in about 30 mins drive you can be in Carlisle or by the sea at Maryport, and in Keswick or Cockermouth even sooner. The gardens at New Park Farm were lovely, and we enjoyed watching the hens, sheep and cows in the surrounding fields; the upstairs lounge had good views of the nearby hills. The bedroom was pleasantly cool on warm days (in July). There were several nice touches: we were very pleased with the pint of milk in the fridge, and the bottle of wine, chocolates, and fresh flowers on the dining table.

Breakfast was perfect with plenty to choose from and a full English cooked to perfection. Our room was very spacious, very clean and had a lovely outlook. Our evening meals were equally nicely cooked with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the staff could not be more accommodating.

As we were marking a special birthday we were unexpectedly given a room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. The room was excellent, as was the food and service throughout the weekend. We made good use of the spa facilities which we thoroughly enjoyed and found very relaxing.
