From the first e-mails prior to our arrival, to the exceptionally nice welcoming the lads in the bar showing us where to pak and the greetings by Chelsea at the desk was super friendly and personal. The whole atmosphere was mellow and down to earth, but the interior was spot on our taste. Luxurious without being bling or contrived.

Beautiful location, the rooms were gorgeous, loved the specific names and how fun they made it. Also the spa level shower supplies they offered and tea and coffee choices were wonderful. Loved that they supplied us sustainable products like cotton pads, feminine products, and a shower cap! overall a phenomenal experience.

The room was lovely, large and with a sea view. Thanks to a booking.com upgrade for the sea view. We did not use any other facilities except a quick drink in the bar which was relaxed. The decor could probably do with a bit of a refresh but it is an old, historic hotel so it would not suit anything too modern. Very lucky to get a place in the carpark, and the attendant was a delight. We probably had more interaction with him than any other member of staff. Real character and the moustachioed look suited his role!

Friendly staff, amazing breakfast, loved the homemade baked beans. Myself and hubby had a lovely 17th anniversary there. Loved the bath in the bedroom and the bubble chair to chill and relax in. Will definitely visit again :)

The staff were lovely! Super helpful and accommodating! The hotel was clean and the bed’s comfortable! We were also upgraded due to it being my 21st birthday and given a bottle of champagne which was nice!

Probably due to the time of year we visited (Nov) we were upgraded from our standard room to a lovely 5th floor sea view room which my boyfriend and I appreciated so much. We had such a lovely stay and wished we could stay one more night.

We loved staying here - the apartment itself is huge but very cosy, with everything you need for a relaxing city break! We were well placed to easily get into the city centre, and had a lovely bakery downstairs for breakfast. Everything was clean and the hosts had even included a bottle of wine. Communication was clear at all times, and Jade was so lovely to deal with! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

On arrival in the room there was a bottle of champagne and chocolates which was a lovely surprise. The room was large and the bed really comfortable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, couldn't fault them at all. The breakfast was very nice. The whole place had a feel of relaxation and poetic charm about it.

This is the second time I've stayed here. It's nicely situated, the staff are really lovely and friendly and the bar is reasonably priced for a hotel bar. We upgraded to a seaview room, which is always nice. The room is big, clean and comfortable. This hotel will always have fond memories for me now as while we were there, my boyfriend proposed to me.

Great location, very good value for money, clean, staff were lovely. This is a great no frills hotel so for the price it's great but it's not a luxury hotel or place for a romantic weekend away. Fine for a solo traveller or student.
