Was attentive to our special requests. The stuff at the reception were so helpful. Gave us so much useful advice and information The room was amazing. Very clean. Comfortable beds. The sauna and fireplace are amazing and easy to use. Added a lot to our Finish vacation atmosphere. The room facing the woods full of snow. Location is just in Santa Claus village.

Guests can escape into nature and pick blueberries in the forest. Very good location top of the hill. I liked interior solutions. Also northern light seeing possipilities ant set up for that were good.

The property is 11 km from central Saariselkä, Kiilopää fell is 5 km away. Everything was great. The Cabin was spacious and clean, and it was very comfortable staying there. There was a kitchen complete with cooking equipment, with plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, so you can cook your own meals and keep your costs down. There’s a coffee machine too. If you book airport transfers with them, they will take you to the supermarket first before proceeding to the Cabin so you can buy everything you need. The hosts Jaana and Mika were very kind and gracious. They even allowed us to check out late for free when they learned that our flight would leave at 6:00pm. If you’re thinking of spending time in Lapland, stay at Polar Aurora Cabins. You will not regret it.

Set in Saariselkä, Northern Lights Village Saariselkä features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. The property has its own reindeer paddock, where guests are welcome to watch and pet the reindeer. Free parking is available. The location of NLV is unique. Although it is situated within a short distance of just 5min walk from Saariselkä, you can admire the aurora from your cabin, without any excessive light pollution, and enjoy the activities in the snowy forest. You may easily walk even to the Ski Center (approx. 20min). The resort is perfectly organized. The main building hosts the reception, where there is always someone full of kindness to help you on anything you might need, and the super cozy lounge area where you can relax, have your breakfast or dinner. The meals are delicious, perfectly served with plenty of food and a great view outside! In the Safari House, the meeting place for all the activities close to the main building, you may ask for thermal/waterproof suits, mittens, boots and balaclavas, that you may keep during your stay. Activities: definitely book for a 5-10km Husky ride, a 2-hour Cross-country Skiing lesson and of course Aurora Hunting. Aurora Camps on the Border and by the Lake are probably their best. The activities are very well organized and the guides are super friendly and helpful. Although the Aurora Huntings are not trully huntings since they have a certain destination, it is a great experience, perfectly organized, with photo shootings by professional cameras. The cabins are super cozy, warm, clean, spacious, with amenities and a tablet on the wall as your link to the reception but mostly as your aurora alert, which truly works! The bathroom is also spacious. We saw the aurora both nights from our cabin, apart from our aurora huntings. But even if we hadn't, it is still an amazing experience to sleep literally under the stars and wake up with the view of a snowy forest!!! The helpfulness of the sales department is also worth to be mentioned. NLV is indeed a luxury option compared to other hotels and resorts nearby, but the overall experience that it offers undoubtedly is worth paying for.

The hotel facilities are very good at booking activities organising everything to your needs.

There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. First off, I loved the location! It is removed, located about 3km walk on a slight rise out of town. You have a fell behind and across from you. Across from the hotel also is the river Tevo which separates Finland from Norway. It is a raw somewhat savage "far from the madding crowd" beauty up here. I did not want to leave. Highly recommend! Akso, the restaurant is fantastic. Best food had in Finland. Also the rooms very clean had huge windows to look out and view the beauty and the Northern Lights.

Free WiFi, bed linen and towels are included. The house was lovely and modern and equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Little touches like the Christmas tree and having dishwasher tablets and detergents to use etc made a self catering stay a lot easier with a family. The house is a little way from the town centre if you are walking (as it’s very cold) but We had a car and it took 5 minutes and we loved the fact it was secluded and quiet but we could easily reach where we needed to go by car.
