The room was beautifully renovated and decorated, the heated bathroom floor was a real bonus during the freezing weather. We dined at both Stoep and Suzanne restaurants and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The a la carte breakfast selection was creative and very well executed. As beautiful as the property is, it‘s ultimately the staff who can "make or break“ a place. What a pleasure it was to find an establishment where all the staff we encountered were exceptionally polite and helpful, from security guards at the gate, groundskeepers, reception, waitering staff and housekeeping. A wide range of choices for breakfast, which included all of the usual favourites along with juices, teas and coffees. Location was great, a 5-8 minute stroll along the seafront to the town. Honesty bar was an added extra. We will be back when we come back to Hermanus.
