It was overall a really great accomodation. The houselady was pleasant and she made us an exquisite breakfast. We would totally recommend it and we will also pick this stay next time we visit the Lake District.

Cosy 2 Bedroom Flat in Lake District is set in Kendal, 36 km from Trough of Bowland, 38 km from Askham Hall, as well as 50 km from Derwentwater. The property is non-smoking and is situated 16 km from World of Beatrix Potter.

The property is newly renovated and is very fresh, quiet, bright and clean. Literal steps to anything in Kendal town centre - the location is ideal for exploring the town. Note that the flat is in the middle of a pedestrian-only precinct, so there is no adjacent parking. We had small issues with taxi pick-ups as there is no direct car access to the flat. On the whole, we felt this was an advantage, as it made for a very quiet, peaceful environment. Absolutely loved the flat entrance with the “shambles-esque” alleyway. Could not be more central, we walked everywhere in town in under 10 minutes. Bedrooms and common area were comfortable and bright.

Big and spacious (deceptive from the front of the property), parking was really easy next to the green, and there’s a bus stop right outside which was very helpful. Great facilities, and a stylish finish, it had everything we needed!

Fantastic flat near town centre amenities. We only live locally but used as stopover when attending a gig at Brewery Arts which is short walk away, as are the towns bars and restaurants. Decor is stylish and modern, but cosy and fittings are to a high standard. Easy check in/out and helpful owners. Highly recommend:)

Extremely good value for the price paid . Delightful spacious room with oh so comfy beds . Yummy breakfast included in the price . We had dinner there too and the standard was very high. The staff made us so welcome and we felt like VIP visitors . Completely positive experience and will definitley return if they will have us ( after inadvertently damaging the curtain runners in our bedroom ) If we are forgiven please can we come again? 😁

We had such a lovely stay. The room was spacious, had a lovely powerful shower, and was warm. Our room was dog friendly too which meant we could stay with our pooch. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast had plenty of choice, and we loved having a pub as part of the hotel so we could have dinner on-site. The hotel is also well located, and was perfect for a visit to Kendal.

The accessible room booked had all the facilities we could have imagined and more. It was clean, spacious and well set out. It well exceeded my expectations for the price. Convenience was paramount as an overnight stopover on a long motorway journey travelling with my elderly mother. The staff were friendly and competent and helpful at check in. Based on this stay I’d definitely stay at a hotel in this chain again

Pauline and Bill's guest house is wonderful! Our room was quiet and clean and overlooking a serene little bit of forest. The room was a spacious suite which had a comfortable sofa separate to the bed. Breakfast was warmly cooked for us by Pauline and it was delicious, with fine local pork. We highly recommend this charming little guest house!

Spacious room, well decorated, very comfortable bed. Hosts have their system for everything - little sheets to fill out if you want more tea or coffee left in your room, prebooking breakfast etc... so it makes everything run smoothly. Bath and hot water were glorious after a long days hiking. Even a fridge in the dining room for walkers to put their lunch in for the next day - very useful. Pub is 2 mins walk up the road and service excellent food. Lots of parking.

Very friendly cheerful owner. The bedroom was spacious and modern with tea and coffee making facilities plus biscuits on both days of our stay. Breakfast was excellent with cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt and juices. To follow we were served a large full English breakfast and toast with tea or coffee.
