Featuring an open-air bath and views of city, Jyoseikan is a ryokan situated in a historic building in Kochi, 34 km from Daizen-ji Temple. Private parking is available on site. The accommodation provides a sauna, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms.

We LOVED our stay at Jyoseikan. My husband and I were traveling with two toddlers and an infant and Jyoseikan is VERY family friendly. They even have a toddler play area in the lobby. The staff at Jyoseikan were accommodating, professional, and enthusiastic. I was especially impressed by the way that all of the staff spoke to and treated our toddlers - as if they were guests just as valued as the adult guests! We did the dinner service, and it was AMAZING. We were also traveling with two additional adult guests who did not care for Japanese cuisine, and the staff went out of their way to prepare western style meals for them. Everything was impeccably clean and efficient. We will absolutely return next time we are in Kochi.

Located in Kochi, Tennenonsen Harunonoyu features a hot spring bath. The restaurant serves Japanese and French dishes.

All rooms in the ryokan are equipped with a kettle. At Tennenonsen Harunonoyu the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV.

Got the in-room rotenburo option and it was just what we were looking for - temperature is suitable for smaller children, and they could play with the water inlet flow without disturbing other guests in the public bath.. Faciities as expecte and functional.

Western rooms come with a wooden or carpeted floor and beds, while Japanese rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding. All rooms have a seating area, an LCD TV and a small fridge. Yukata robes are provided, while the attached bathroom comes with toiletries.

This was a true, bonafide, traditional Japanese ryokan experience! There is so much history that it justifies the facilities being older. The whole experience was wonderful, especially the kind and excellent staff.

In an excellent location, easy walking distance from the city center, but a bit off the main drag so slightly quieter and more peaceful. The river in front is really beautiful. The staff were very kind and the breakfast was great. The communal bath is very simple but nice. Would recommend.

The morning breakfast was great! Others were also leaving a compliment to the restaurant staff. Greatest among all the breakfasts in the hotels in Japan. Also, the indoor wear was comfortable. Nice to have onsen in the hotel.

The water is originally sulfur fresh. The outdoor onsen was nice and clean. Unfortunately the sauna was broken and the laydown onsen was not working. And the smoking area is pretty far from the second floor.

Comfy futons. Good public onsen bath. Bathroom was sufficient. Fairly good location. Staff was amazing - helped us carry out luggages from the street to the reception area.

Beautiful hotel in traditional Japanese style. We stayed in the Japanese style rooms with tatami mats to sleep on. Plenty of room and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Close to tram and bus stops. Highly recommend the train trip from Okayama to Kochi.

This ryokan is a bit off the path around Kochi but the main reason for the stay was the onsen, which more than met the expectations as listed on their website. The onsen had so many places to sit and enjoy the hot springs water, and the quality of the water was great (hot with a lot of dissolved minerals).

Close to the station, with tatami floor and futon beds. Perfect experience as a local type of accomodation. Breakfast was sufficient and onsen is nice.
