The best thing about this place is the people. Wonderful family is running this small cozy Inn along the road to Shirakawa-go from Toyama. We could not find affordable Inn in Shirakawa-go, so we chose this one just 40 minutes away. Very nice rooms decorated with good taste and comfortable. Toilet and sink are available in the room and the traditional bath separately for men and women is located downstairs. It was interesting to try it. Very helpful and friendly family members were willing to communicate and give us advice. And great meals were served with care and in a traditional way. We enjoyed our one night stay there a lot. Dinner & breakfast were included with our Japanese-style room and both were excellent. The couple who run the ryokan were friendly & helpful. Great location to be able to access the Gassho villages of Ainokura and Suganuma without a car - the local bus stop is directly outside the ryokan. It is also opposite the oldest Gassho house (300 years); it is open to the public and you can climb up to the 5th floor.
