Room is clean and spacious. Bathroom in the room is well equipped and decorated. The public outdoor hot spring was so nice and relaxing. And there’s also a free private indoor hot spring that was very nice too. And I really like that the hot springs are 24/7. Meals were so good and all the staffs were so friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel is perfect in this little town. The Onsen area are very clean and perfect to relax after the day. But the best part here were the food! We wrote the hotel just one day before we arrive if it's possible to create vegetarian meals for us. And they did a perfect job! We got the best meals we had in whole Japan and this also super spontaneously. Thanks to the whole team!

The beautiful location in the woods (yet close to the city, 4~ mins). The spectacular labyrinth-like structure of the whole hotel that makes you want to explore it entirely (reminded us of The Shining hotel). They even have a gamified "quest" of collecting stamps in different parts of the building to make you visit memorable spots. The surprising victorian furniture of the Karaoke room and its very friendly employees, had a great night singing and drinking in there. The size of the room.

Surrounded by breathtaking nature on the outskirts of Gero, this ryokan provides a very authentic Japanese onsen experience. All style dress in traditional kimono or yukata. They have staff who speaks English. Very organised check in process, you can tell they are well verse in receiving big volumes of guests. Very efficient. Onsens are great. As guests, there were 3 to choose from.
