Equinoccio Hotel, hotel in Santa Ana

Equinoccio Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Santa Ana.

The location of the hotel is great (the road to get there is a different matter and is nothing the hotel can influence). The receptionist was lovely but overall I have to say the staff was not very friendly or helpful. The room size was good and we had a little balcony facing the lake. It was great to get a free kayak for one hour as part of the stay.

Hotel Brunette, hotel in Santa Ana

Located in Santa Ana, Hotel Brunette features a garden, shared lounge and bar. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.

The hotel has a very nice atmosphere, and the staff went out of their way to help us with a tour on Good Friday (a day when everything’s closed), which was the highlight of my trip, so thank you!! Very helpful and friendly. Location’s perfect, could not have been better. Bed was very comfortable and was lucky enough to share the dorm with only 1 other person which was lovely. The fan works perfect. Free water (and coffee) all day. Totally recommend!!

Hostal Casa Verde, hotel in Santa Ana

Offering an outdoor pool and free bicycle rentals, Hostal Casa Verde is located in Santa Ana. Free WiFi access is available throughout. Shared and private rooms are available at Hostal Casa Verde.

What a lovely hostel!!!! The people are so friendly and the food is great. I had a private room and loved how it clean it was (finally a room WITHOUT cockroaches) and a hot shower. Hammocks, a small pool, roof terrace, makes you want to hang out all day and have some chill time. I do want to mention that if you walk the wrong way there are a lot of drunks trying to get your attention. So just keep the direction of the cathedral 😊 It was nice to meet other travellers and take a trip to the volcano together. 100% recommend Casa Verde.

You see a lot of crap online of wether or not Santa Ana is safeS we had zero problems and never felt unsafe at all. Santa Ana and El Salvador in general have made huge inprovements in safety these last years. The town is nice , you'll strugle to find a building with more than 2 stories. It has preserved it's old world charm. Not supermany things to do or see but a good base to go exploring from

The road especially the side streets are horrible.

The road especially the side streets are horrible. Needs a traffic officer in all the main road that are under construction even at night. I closed my eyes hoping that my husband won’t hit a vehicle as he drove on tight traffic areas. I’m worried that our rental car won’t break down on the unpaved roads- lots of rocks and open pits. The Santa Ana people are very helpful and kind.

Santa Ana is a beautiful city where you can a find an extensive variety of restaurants with delicious food, things to do and friendly locals, 25 minutes from the city you can find El Lago de Coatepeque which is a must see while you are in Santa Ana, you will not regret it.

I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral.

I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral. As an amateur photographer, I also liked the colorful and dilapidated buildings around the cathedral. They made a great backdrop for street photography. Unfortunately, I spent only a day here so I was not able to see or do many things in the area. It is a great location to jump off the Ruta de las Flores though. I’m definitely happy that I decided to start the route here and not from San Salvador.

Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains.

Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains. The market is fun to explore and cathedral and theatre are gorgeous. Outside of town there are ruins, volcanoes, and a lake within an hour. The town doesn't have much tourism which gives it a more authentic feel, but also means you won't find many good restaurants around the square or at night.

Rick is exceptional. He helped me with planning my three days in Santa Ana so well. It was so much fun to rent the motorbike and to drive around to all the interesting spots e.g. the volcano, the ruta de las flores and the lake. But how he helped me and my friend when she got seriously injured was outstanding. He was available on the phone within no time. He arranged a transport to the nearest hospital. And even the transport back to Santa Ana when my friend needed to get stitches. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Casa Vieja is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay whilst visiting Santa Ana. Luis was tremendously supportive during my stay and for organizing my tour to the vulcano. He is also very knowledgeable about the town. Santa Ana is very safe. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. You'll be staying at a typically simple setting, but perfectly located, with a hot shower and pancakes for breakfast.

This hotel is literally right next to the Santa Ana Cathedral in the main square. You cannot get any better location than that. I also appreciate the fact that they let me check in at noon even though my reservation wasn’t until 3pm. This let me see more of the city on the day that I arrived. I’d definitely stay here again if ever I was in El Salvador again.

The reviews are true! This really may be the best hostal in El Salvador (or maybe most of Central America). The owner is exceptional - so kind and helpful. The room was amazing - large, comfortable, and quiet with a great view. Wi-fi is strong so it's easy to work. The pool is beautiful. Thank you!!

The room was big, aircon worked well as did WiFi. The staff were friendly and the inside of the hotel was a quiet oasis when compared to Santa Ana! There are a couple of pretty average restaurants that are walkable and ample on-street parking outside the front door.
