The beach was great and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. There is a bus from the beach area to the central square but then you have to walk a short way to the train station. As a golfer this is the perfect spot.
As a golfer this is the perfect spot. Many many quality options with 20-30 minutes. I still think it's the best location when traveling with a family. The beach is awesome and the food choices are excellent. Great access to sea tours and water taxi to Ferragudo from the marina. There's so much to do. Great location of the resort. Too far from the malls and other destinations that we would've want to visit. We ate at the the restaurant at the resort and also in town. Also the restaurants on the beach.

There are few places directly from the city center where you can find yourself so close to the incredible power of nature. The combination of a big city and beautiful natural beaches. Amazing, quiet town with lots of small beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches for me ever. Easily accessible by train, bus, car, taxi, Uber, or boat. About 2 hours from Faro airport. by car. There is everywhere to roam. If you see everything in the city, you don't have to run far to other big cities, but just move to the suburbs, in the east or west by the ocean. You will also be charmed and surprised by their natural scenery.

The hotel is in front of the police station, thus it is really save there. It is 2 min away from the beach and a lot of restaurants are near by. And 30 min walk to the old part of the city with its authentic businesses. The front desk worker - young man - was very helpful. Room is quite spacious. Interior design of the room is great, very lovely. View was very good (mine was with sea view) considering another hotel in front of it. Everything worked. I skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

The room was a bit small and the furniture and the fixtures a bit outdated but I found it charming, it reminded me of holidays in my childhood. Importantly, the place has its own parking lot behind the hotel, which was very convenient. The shower has reliably hot water.
