Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

Falmouth is a compact sea-side town with plenty of restaurants and a thriving arts community. While one can easily walk around Falmouth there are also many attractions within a short drive. Taxis are also readily available.

We loved falmouth and are looking forward to visiting in the spring. Great independent shops with loads of places to eat and drink.
Gilly beach was fab and the restaurant was great
Well be sure to visit again
wonderful hotel in a great location. wonderful park opposite for a morning walk. my husband and I stay here every year for our weekend break in Falmouth. they provide all you’ll need for a stay, towels and toiletries and a well stocked tea tray, even umbrellas for you to borrow if needed. Had a lovely chat with the lady at the front desk , housekeepers were very friendly. There is hand sanitizer all over the hotel and they even provide a bottle in room. Check in is simple and seamless. brilliant hotel and look forward to our stay next year.
Breakfast was very good and well organized, with a good choice. The sea view was very nice from our room as well as the bar and breakfast room.
The hotel provided beach towels, portable beach chairs, and a body surfboard. The excellent and sandy Gyllyngvase beach with lifeguards on duty was just across the road. The bar was well stocked and there was plenty of brochures for other attractions in and around Falmouth. Advance information was given at the time of booking re the need to book restaurants in Falmouth.
Everything about the Hotel Meudon far surpassed our expectations, from the lovely (and spacious) cottage in which my husband, myself and our two children stayed, to the gorgeous grounds and the absolutely gourmet food we had at each meal. We have determined this will be the only place we stay when we return to Cornwall, and feel so lucky to have found it online.
This hotel is well located across the street from the Maritime museum at the head of Falmouth's main shopping street along the waterfront. We really liked having the microwave & refrigerator in the room, which though facing the busy street was very quiet. No trouble with self-service check-in using a front door and room code.
The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was dog friendly, the food was excellent with a great choice for breakfast. The hotel was central to everywhere within Falmouth and within walking distance. A great setting next to the harbour. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go back.
Good location in the Falmouth harbour, there's a Bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. We visited the restaurant for a dinner which was OK (reservation is necessary). All major sites are close, parking is possible nearby in front of the Tesco Express overnight from 5pm until morning is free.
Really nice old style hotel. Lovely room on the top floor with a good sea view. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Nice touches like a bottle of wine in our room and free bottles of water. Quiet ocation looking out over Falmouth Bay but only a short walk to the station and into town.
Staff were welcoming and explained everything I needed to know.
Food was delicious and waiting staff were really good.
Very clean and well presented hotel
Good facilities
Glad I could park on the property as parking can be challenging in Falmouth
I would definitely book again and visit the restaurant
A true gem of a place! Genuinely nicer than any hotel/guest house that we have stayed in when in Falmouth. Spotlessly clean, super central Falmouth location and well appointed throughout. The hosts have thought of everything and we will definitely be back for further visits. Great value!
Great B&B, friendly staff and easy check in. a short walk into town, so very well located. incredible views from the room!.
didn't eat much of the breakfast, but what i did have was very tasty.
i visit falmouth a lot to see friends and will be using The Sandy Duck again for sure!
Great location in Falmouth near the beach but 10 mins from town center and restaurants. Comfortable room and bed and good WiFi. Breakfast was fabulous and it was good to be offered a bag to take a roll away for lunch. Plus a piece of wicked chocolate croissant bread pudding.
The lady that ran the hotel with her husband was very hospitable and the breakfasts were great.I brought a bottle of wine back to my room one night and use the water glass provided to drink it.The next day I found that a wine glass had been put next to the wine bottle.
Highcliffe was in an amazing location - really easy to walk to the centre of Falmouth or to the beaches in the other direction. The hotel was nicely decorated and the parking was good too with very clear communication on check in times etc too.
The staff member who greeted me was very welcoming and friendly. He was also excellent in providing me a tour and explaining the facilities.
In addition, the hotel itself and the surrounding area/views are very pleasant.
Very easy to find. Lovely situation. Staff were all very polite and helpful. They gave me a space in the garage under the hotel as I have a problem knee. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Food excellent.
