Easy to get to, fantastic location for town and wonderful for pets. We loved the room, such a comfortable bed, the only small issue was that the shower had two heads, one fixed to the ceiling and the other adjustable but the second one couldn’t work independently.

The location is absolutely stunning, Tracy and David have a beautiful home and really were welcoming! The bed was really comfy and wonderful pillows! Fresh milk and orange juice in a glass bottle in the fridge, with a fresh loaf and croissants ready for the morning. Along with pots of jam and butter. Also making friends with their dog! Will definitely stay again!

Wimborne Minster is a very picturesque town, with lots of cafe's, restaurant and shops, both high street names and independents, to explore. Sitting in the square, drinking a coffee and people watching, is a lovely way to pass an hour or so.

The town has a lovely selection of shops and cafes, something for everyone! There is a small museum, a beautiful church and a model of the town (the latter being great for children)! You can really chill out and relax in Wimborne Minster!

Quintessential English town with charming understated architecture and pleasant atmosphere. Good pubs/restaurants. The Minster is lovely to visit and worth the climb up the spiral stone staircase to see and hear about the chained library (one of only 5 left) but check opening times for the library. The Priests museum is also worth a visit and lovely garden for tea. Also, handy in reach of NT’s Kingston Lacey which is well worth 2-3 hours.

We went there for the folk festival as we have done several times in the past. It wasn't actually a folk festival this time despite being billed as such, due to the prevalence of highly amplified rock music everywhere around the town and very few venues for folk music. The rock music/noise machines drowned out the Morris sides at times. The main organiser was heard to say to one of the Morris Dance leaders "it's not actually a folk festival, it's a music festival". Strange this, because the website and programme describe it as Wimborne Minster Folk Festival and all the helpers were wearing WMFF emblems, not WMMF.

The cottage is characterful and welcoming, the lounge and kitchen diner have lots of lovely features, such as record player, incredible fireplace, warming aga. Lovely little courtyard garden to enjoy a morning coffee, or park our bikes in as we did. Rooms very comfortable. Great location in Wimborne, just a few minutes walk to the many eateries and shops. All in all, we loved the cottage and felt very welcomed by the hosts. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experiences Well thought out Quirky Rooms just fun to be in, this is why we stay at 1777 when in Wimborne
best location right in the center of town with good parking
and the breakfast at the Olive Branch is fantastic makes my day, We also have had dinner on several occasions it is very good
The Staff at the Hotel and Olive Grove make you feel very special,
Just what you want from a B and B. Immaculately clean, very comfortable, good breakfast in a very central location close to good restaurants and pubs (and also a Wetherspoons if that's of interest to you!). Competitively priced, too. I've stayed here a few times and would book here in preference to other accommodation if I return to Wimborne.
Breakfast superb, best Old English Inns/Greene King I've had and I have stayed in many GK Inns over the last 20 years. Zoe the Waitress should be working in the Ritz, most attentive, friendly and welcoming I've experienced in a UK hotel .Her attitude to all the guests was first class and she works such long hours on that shift.
The whole experience was first class. The owner met me and assisted with luggage. She was helpful. The room was very well situated and furnished. All the things you needed were there not like a lot of hotels and b and bs who have cut down on what used to be expected. Lovely area walkable to centre. Parking.
The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The breakfast choice was excellent and the food was delicious. Our hosts, Ian and Ingrid, were lovely and welcoming and looked after us very well. A fantastic place to stay and only a five minute walk into the centre of Wimborne. We can highly recommend.
The kings head hotel, was situated perfectly for our new year's Eve weekend stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, a little dated but clean. We enjoyed the breakfast, perhaps could have had a bit more selection with the continental.
Wimborne is a great place to visit.
Did not partake. It’s a fair walk away from the building through the town to another venture altogether (The Olive Tree). We ate there both evenings as it’s dog friendly & I’d prebooked for ease. But we had coffee & croissants in a dog friendly cafe nearer the hotel.
A beautifully renovated house -very comfy bed & gorgeous facilities all round. Only a 10-15 min drive to Wimborne which is a lovely market town which we were visiting. We also drove to Weymouth for a day trip which took about an hour.
This is a cosy, comfortable place with great walks in the woodlands and bus connections to Bournemouth and Poole. 15 minute walk into Wimborne. Great hosts, always friendly and helpful whenever I stay here.
The Loft House has character and is beautifully equipped. The welcome pack was really nice. The location is quiet and secluded, but with in easy reach of Dorset's attractions.
Staff and Managers are trying to maintain the standards this hotel has achieved in the past but the meal we had was poor value and the breakfast non-existent.
