super friendly owner, the cottage was large, super clean and very cozy. They have animals on their farm plus a small pond where you can use a canoe. We ordered dinner beforehand and enjoyed a delicious meal in our cottage.

The gateway to Wells Grey Park, Clearwater is a great base camp to explore the numerous waterfalls, river rafting adventures, fishing spots and hiking/biking in the surrounding area. The people have always been friendly and welcoming with my countless visits and the scenery spectacular. Helmcken Falls is a major highlight in Wells Grey Park. Check in at the visitor center to really get a grasp of everything this place has to offer! The main town has good amenities for food, groceries, gas and more. Definitely worth a visit.

Waterfalls in nearby Regional Park ( I think there were 4 of them to see. All were beautiful on their own. Only one needed like 1-hour + hike, rest were closer to the road. Can be seen in half a day easily, before you need to continue driving East or West.

Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Wells Gray Provincial Park. Beautiful scenery full of gorgeous waterfalls, lakes, rivers and creeks. We had breakfast in the Blue Grouse Inn where we stayed and we dined out in Clearwater for our other meals. This Inn is close to most of the key waterfalls. Clearwater is very easy to get around by car. There are numerous activities like rafting, canoeing, etc that you can do. Information centre is very helpful. We even went to my first ever rodeo in nearby Barriere.

Clearwater has everything you need along the #5: groceries,...
Clearwater has everything you need along the #5: groceries, gas , a few restaurants but is not the reason to go here. Go for the hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and camping in Wells Gray Park and Myrtle Lake but be prepared for hot weather along with mosquitoes and black flies in the summer. Dutch Lake is beautiful warm swimming lake just off the #5 with a lovely sand and grassy public beach with wharf and swings for young children.
Clean and comfortable bed, lots of soap, shampoo etc. provided. There is also a single cup coffeemaker and pods for your early morning wake-up rush. The hotel is not anywhere near the golf course mentioned in the name, but it does have a wonderful little private beach on the lake where you can relax and drink in the quietness and beauty of the surroundings. There is a lot of construction going on and I hope that it will not take away the relatively rustic atmosphere of the beach. Will visit again if I am in the area!
Perfect location for kids who love to swim. We have stayed at Jasper Way Inn multiple times in the last 3 years and are always happy with our time spent here.
The coffee maker and kettle were not working, so when I asked for replacements they were happy to bring me replacements. Excellent friendly service. Outdoor areas were always clean and organized. Best value I've found in Clearwater for a family holiday. Already planning to return next summer.
Doris was a charming host. Much more fun and interesting than a hotel stay. Very nice breakfast, and on cue, a hummingbird came for at least a 5 minute visit during breakfast! Immaculate home. Host recommended we stop in at Wells Gray park, and we were so happy we did, viewing a beautiful waterfall less than 20 minutes from her house. We had only just driven past the town on our many stopovers there before.
Beautiful place, the owner is very nice and makes you feel at home. I was only passing through so didn't have much time in the area, but Wells Gray Provincial Park is very close and looks gorgeous from what I have seen, definitely check out Dawson Falls and Helmcken Falls. If you're passing through Clearwater definitely stay at Hummingbird B&B!
Facility is showing its age, but overall, rooms are clean and well kept.
Beds are a little too soft, but otherwise comfy.
Location is very near the main route through Clearwater, but our evening remained pretty quiet.
Proprietor was able to offer our little group a set of rags to wipe grime off our bikes - thanks!
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Room was large and well thought out. Ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel, it's quieter and the balcony looks into the yard not the parking lot. Breakfast was sparse but tasty. Overall it's a great choice for your stay. I think it's over priced but they all are in this area
Room was huge and loved the flooring (no carpet is perfect!) Everything was clean. Beautiful property and friendly staff. Maria was amazing to deal with when we had an issue with the booking (not an issue on the hotel side - booking.com mistake) super friendly and helpful!
Food great, and staff was great, and room was comfortable and bed also comfortable and thank you for air conditioning as well, we love Clearwater and have family there and we will be back
very friendly host, always available and helpful. The accommodation is very simple but nice and we felt very comfortable. It is in a quiet environment and easy to get to.
A neat wooden cabin near a lake in Wells Gray is exactly what you need. Friendly folks deliver you breakfast at the cabin, albeit in disposable cardboard boxes.
