Its a bit remote, very large hotel. The facilities are excellent, great Onsen, large bedroom. A bit of a small bathroom. The lobby relaxation area is very pleasant, with inclusive drinks, icecream and small snackbags. The buffet style restaurant is very large and offers plenty of choice. Nice choice of Yukata’s.

Lovely property that’s been very tastefully refurbished and a fun way to experience more traditional houses. Assi is very helpful and very generously gave us a lift to Magome for the Nakasendo hike. We also really enjoyed Sakashita - there were some good restaurants and it was great to escape the tourists.

The best place we stayed in in Japan and the host went way above the call of duty even driving us to a super market and cooking dumplings for us! My partner proposed to me in the appartment I think because he liked it so much haha

It was correct. It felt like in the 60s, but well maintained, place very clean, rooms very comfortable, very quiet, bath very welcomed after a long day riding bicycle. Coin laundry very useful.

I really enjoyed my stay at Onn. It felt clean and a semi upscale pit stop. I enjoyed the amenities/toiletries and coffee to go. You can grab them whenever, they’re always available. They also have a public Onsen. The breakfast was decent , buffet style. I’d definitely recommend and go back.

Visited three areas this time: Narai-juku/ Tsumago-juku/ Magome-juku: all are very nicely reserved areas and the hotel is located close except for Narai-juku (70km away). Had a 100% Soba twice at lunch nearby : both are very good. Dropped in several Michi-no-Eki and bought local foods and items at half of them.
