The hotel has a very nice atmosphere, and the staff went out of their way to help us with a tour on Good Friday (a day when everything’s closed), which was the highlight of my trip, so thank you!! Very helpful and friendly. Location’s perfect, could not have been better. Bed was very comfortable and was lucky enough to share the dorm with only 1 other person which was lovely. The fan works perfect. Free water (and coffee) all day. Totally recommend!!

The location is great, only a couple of blocks to the Parque Libertad but very quiet. Our room was very basic but large and clean. Wifi is excellent, air conditioning works well as was very nice to have. The shower has hot water, but the bathroom is small and there are no shelves put anything. It was clean, but very old and could use a really deep clean. Remote check-in worked well. There's an on-line Visa payment link, but we asked to pay cash and the owner agreed. I'd rather use Booking to pay with Visa as it is trustworthy. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly to questions.

Room had some nice touches like lights and USB charging
Staff were lovely despite some communication barriers. It was nice to have a pool and terrace area though very few people seemed to make used of it.

Kind hosts, they were helpful and ensured we had a new fan when ours didn't work. Good that there was breakfast and water included. Able to leave bags whilst exploring the city after check out.

You see a lot of crap online of wether or not Santa Ana is safeS we had zero problems and never felt unsafe at all. Santa Ana and El Salvador in general have made huge inprovements in safety these last years. The town is nice , you'll strugle to find a building with more than 2 stories. It has preserved it's old world charm. Not supermany things to do or see but a good base to go exploring from

The road especially the side streets are horrible. Needs a traffic officer in all the main road that are under construction even at night. I closed my eyes hoping that my husband won’t hit a vehicle as he drove on tight traffic areas. I’m worried that our rental car won’t break down on the unpaved roads- lots of rocks and open pits.
The Santa Ana people are very helpful and kind.

I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral.
I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral. As an amateur photographer, I also liked the colorful and dilapidated buildings around the cathedral. They made a great backdrop for street photography. Unfortunately, I spent only a day here so I was not able to see or do many things in the area. It is a great location to jump off the Ruta de las Flores though. I’m definitely happy that I decided to start the route here and not from San Salvador.

Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains.
Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains. The market is fun to explore and cathedral and theatre are gorgeous. Outside of town there are ruins, volcanoes, and a lake within an hour. The town doesn't have much tourism which gives it a more authentic feel, but also means you won't find many good restaurants around the square or at night.
Best staff, will help you do all the touristic activities in Santa Ana, will help you with transport to move to other cities, will give you personal care. We were helped find food late at night with the owner personally coming out with us at night. We managed to eat the best pupusas.
Pre-arrival communication to do touristic activities was on spot. Simply this is an amazing hotel, located close to the cathedral, theater and the very center of the city. You have to visit it to believe what I have written.
Rick is exceptional. He helped me with planning my three days in Santa Ana so well. It was so much fun to rent the motorbike and to drive around to all the interesting spots e.g. the volcano, the ruta de las flores and the lake. But how he helped me and my friend when she got seriously injured was outstanding. He was available on the phone within no time. He arranged a transport to the nearest hospital. And even the transport back to Santa Ana when my friend needed to get stitches. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Fantastic property. New, clean, spacious rooms, each has a fan and a tele. Very secure property, padlock for each room and gates into property locked. Well stocked kitchen, very clean. Chairs and hammocks outside to relax in. The staff were fantastic, super friendly and helpful. Good wifi. Good location - restaurant/bar attached, near local market, 15-20 minute walk to town centre, short walk to local bus to Santa Ana Volcano.
The people in charge is friendly and very kind. The place is easily located by Uber, Waze and Google Maps. Although the place is located near the center of Santa Ana, the noise inside the hostal is very low and you could easily have a good rest here after a shower with hot water. It is also positive that the bathroom has it's own extractor system.
amazing location, backpacker vibe, perfect for chilling at the lake but also easy to get to Santa Ana volcano from here or ruta de la Flores (there is a bus that passes by right at the entrance so you are connected- no issues with that), I feel if people just stay in Santa Ana downtown are really missing out this piece of paradise!
Luis and his family are lovely people and will ensure you are comfortable throughout your stay. Luis is a genuine legend and will happily sit down with you and tell you all the tips and tricks to make the most out of Santa Ana. Thanks again Luis, hopefully see you, the family and the one and only Lacho again one day.
This was the friendliest, coziest hostel we stayed at on our entire trip. The kitchen was great to have and there's a lot of little areas to relax in.
Adriana helped us every step of the way with planning our trips from Santa Ana. She made the hostel feel like a second home.
Excellent value considering places in El Salvador are fairly expensive and this one included breakfast. Very quiet neighborhood, close to Centro but far enough away to be calm and quiet. 100% safe and secure. Good wifi. Very friendly and welcoming sisters running the place.
The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake. We were in room 2A and the view was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with the exception of the coffee. For the most part, the staff was pleasant enough. Fairly updated facility.
Cool building with a burger/pizza restaurant within. Really cool, friendly staff willing to do pretty much anything to help out. Santa Ana is one of the friendliest towns I have visited this the past year also all in all great experience and great hostel!
Good location 10 minutes walk to the center. Great customer service! Friendly helpful staff! Good advice on how to do side trips on the buses or organized tours for you. Good typical El Salvadorean breakfast. Cute rooftop sitting area to hangout or work!
The staff at Las Puertas are so kind and helpful! The hotel is in a great location in Santa Ana. My friend and I were both working remotely and the WiFi was strong. I liked the garden area in the middle of the rooms to sit in and also do a little work.
Perfect location and price point to tour Lago Coatepeque, El Tazumal, Cerró Verde, Volcán Ilametepec (Santa Ana Volcano) and Salto de Malacatiupán all within 30-60 minutes away from the property. The host was very attentive. Def recommend!
Fantastic hotel and run brilliantly. The staff helped me with my tour and a shuttle bus to el tunco. Great location clean rooms and very well maintained hotel.
Definitely the place to stay while your in Santa Ana
Really Comfortable stay in San Jose. Good breakfast. Sweet guests - you stay in their house. Close to bus stop for Volcán Santa Ana. Great value for money! 20 min walk to the center - but very safe.
Friendly and helpful staff, the private room was hotel-level comfort at this hostel, gorgeous bathroom, nice furniture, good A/C, kitchen facilities are top notch
