Exceptional Location.
Rooms are old. Bathrooms not user friendly. Challenge in getting adequate water supply while showering.
Staff could be more guest friendly

Great location and characterful property with views across the Tuscan hills. The owner, Benedetta, is a great host, too. She couldn’t do enough to make our stay in San Casciano a pleasant one. Will return again one day.

Location is everything you can envision Tuscany to be: beautiful hills, tranquillity, beautiful views, vineyards, olive trees, and deer, rabbits :).
The staff was great in providing us with advice.
The room, in a separate building, on a different hill, was rustic, but with everything you need. We were 4, (2 adults and 2 kids) and the size of the apartment was great. Beds comfortable. And everything you need in the kitchen.
Too bad the weather did not allow us to use the pool.

Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas.
Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas. The Staff was outstanding with smiles and open arms for any assistance we needed. Cooking class was fun, learning many new things none of us had known with our delightful chef who was patient and knowledgeable. Dinner at the restaurant was full of wonderful foods. The perfect place to explore wineries and take it down a few notches to relax and unwind.

I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit the famous Antinori wine estate, one of the most spectacular & lavish wine estates for visitors in Europe, and one of the few that are comparable with what you would find in California, South Africa or South America. There's not a great deal else here that I am aware of - it's basically a few small villages. Good location for visiting other neighbouring parts of Chianti though. And, as noted in my review elsewhere of the Albergo Bargino, its attached fish restaurant, the Trattoria del Pesce, is worth a visit in itself.

This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking.
This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking. In the middle of everywhere yet close to Florence making your return to the airport very convenient. The area is surrounded by wineries, restaurants, pizzerias and gelato shops making the panorama painteresque and unique to the area. Perfect starting point for biking too. Must visit.

The location of the town was perfect for us, as we came to have our own wine tour.
We had about a 30-40 minutes drive (tops) to each of our pins on the wine map we planned!
There are vineyards all around :)

The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere.
The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere. Did some of our own cooking, but also ate out.
A bus trip to Florence was worth doing.
Driving to villages/places worked well. Castellina, Radda and Volpaia our favourites.
Driving could be a little difficult on the narrow roads (for two cars to stay on the bitumen)... and buses.
We were given a bottle of wine from our winery stay, and saw the beginning of the grape harvest.

We stayed here 5 nights for a wedding at a venue very closeby (castello il Palagio) and we very much enjoyed our stay. The family hosting was really kind, accommodating and helpful. They gifted us with a bottle of wine at our arrival! The appartment was very comfortable and well equipped, it was nice to be able to make our morning coffee and have breakfast outside every morning. The hot tub room was really beautiful and fun though there’s a fee for using it. If you’re looking for a homey, authentic experience of rural tuscany this is it!
Excellent rating! Great host, available at any time when needed with good information to make the stay even more pleasant.
The house and the surroundings/ view are amazing. Every bedroom feels like in an hotel, own bathroom good airco and it looks all brand new.
Great kitchen and 4 ! outdoor bbq’s. Swimming pool and nice outside ( also inside) dinning place makes everything complete.
It is great to have so much privacy in the middle of the vineyards and be so close to Florence.
We had a great time with two families (11 persons) !
Best breakfast we had for years - fresh and regional products, homemade cakes, cooked-to-order eggs - just excellent! Free parking, very nicely located on top of the hills with great view in the morning. Free heated pool with sauna. Free bathrobe and slippers. Very friendly and well English-speaking staff (not self-evident even in good Italian hotels!)
Super friendly and always helpful! Great dinner at place. Great location to chill out, but enough going on for the children (donkeys and a sheep, play area etc). Organic wine at place is worth trying. Overall it's a real agricultura (Vs some others which are more hotels) and it's very charming.
The stay at the farm was perfect in every way, the location, as it was close to Florence, tasty home-made breakfast, the Tuscan vibe and our hostess Gulia was so welcoming and helpful that it made our time in this unique part of the world unforgettable. I would gladly stay in Il Pintello again.
We stayed in an apartment about a 10-minute drive from the main hotel, accessed via a ride on a dirt road. The apartment was well equipped for our needs, including hosting a dinner for eight people. It featured amazing views and a pool that is a major highlight in the summer.
On arrival we were greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome, with excellent service throughout our stay. The aspect of the hotel is exceptional with wonderful view over bucolic Tuscan countryside and the restaurant is fabulous.
The location has beautiful views and interesting history, short drive from Florence and to markets/wineries/restaurants, property has great amenities like bikes available for use, staff was helpful in their recommendations.
Quiet location close to Florence and other beauties of Tuscany. Nice price for the area. Tuscan style house. Everything is very convenient, clean and comfortable. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
As they are refurbishing the hotel, they offered us a villa which was big and very nice, clean and well decorated, and had a beautiful view! The breakfast was really good, and the location beautiful.
This property is beautiful! Benedetta is a wonderful host and very kind! There are many amazing restaurants within walking distance. (I highly suggest walking the 10 minutes instead of driving)
Great strategic location, easy access, possibility to be by the pool near the main hotel + good breakfasts at the hotel for 10€ per person, quite expensive. Good linens and fixtures.
the nature and the atmosphere are both incredible because the villa is on the top of San Casciano’s hill.
A special thanks to the family that manage this hotel for their kindness.
This is a hidden gem. Out of the way, but a great view and very accommodating staff. An old Italian estate that has been converted to hotel rooms. Excellent value.
The hotel’s location and facilities are just great ! It is a haven and a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany, everything was almost perfect and really beautiful
