I truly was only expecting a ground floor 2-bedroom suite, and when we discovered that it was a 2 beds + 2 baths townhouse on 2-storeys, this exceeded our expectations. The unit was decorated contemporarily, spacious, with comfy beds, ample living space that overlooked the beaches and the ocean.

Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
Very nice new clean villas, walking distance (very hilly though) to the centre and beach of Carvoeiro. Friendly and helpfull staff, good breakfast provided to have in your villa. Very calm and nice pool area with grass and enough sun beds, perfect size pool and temperature of the water is nice and not cold as we experienced in other hotel nearby. So kids would play in water all day long :) coffee, drinks and snacks such as fries or sandwiches can be enjoed at the pool. Parking is free at the villa itself, which also has a small garden behind.
We loved our stay at the resort! With that said, it is beautifully located at the sea and the views are stunning. Our suite had a great sea view and the comforts of a 5-star hotel. The daily lunch and dinner at the restaurant were good, not great. The staff was very friendly and service-minded and I felt appreciated as a guest. The entertainment for children was limited to a playground, which we thought could have been better. Overall, a very nice stay at this luxury resort and we would love to come back.
Staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Breakfast was a buffet and had an excellent selection of items.
We especially liked having a balcony overlooking the town, restaurants and beach . So comfortable to sit outside and
watch the world go by. Parking at the hotel was very convenient and so happy that they had parking spaces available while we were there. Just a minute walk to the beach. Great location overall for visiting the Algarve.
Lovely villa located within a 5 minute walk of Carvoiero centre but with none of the noise. We stayed in a ground floor double with a garden facing terrace - room was very comfortable with handy extra features e.g mini fridge.
Pool area great to relax by with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. Two friendly cats live here too - a bonus for any cat lovers out there.
Breakfast was fresh every morning with good selection of pastries, cakes etc.
It was not only the best stay of our Portugal road trip, it was even one of the best stays of our entire traveling history. It's really rare to have the luck of finding a place like this, looking authentic, having amazing and passionate hosts, in an even more beautiful landscape. For us, this was an incredibly nice stay, absolutely worth the money. And after all, we only regret that we didn't stay for longer. We will most likely come back!
The property is in a wonderful location in the heart of Carvoeiro, with a lovely view to the sea. It is very well appointed, and Michael is a wonderful host. Parking was easy, and the apartment is on the ground floor when you come in from the street, which was really nice (although Carvoeiro itself is pretty hilly). Minutes from shops, restaurants, and the beach.
the location, right in the centre of carvoeiro , fab balcony to sit and watch the world go by, all you need in the room including a fridge, fab 360 bar on the roof with fab views, lovely pool and really helpful friendly staff, had a wonderful holiday. oh I forgot to mention the lovely comfy beds, slept wonderfully.
The villa was extremely well equipped, clean and modern with absolutely everything you need. You are about 2.3 km from Carvoeiro so you can relax in this beautiful country setting and enjoy the city close by. Carvoeiro is. A very alive town with entertainment and many restaurants. The staff was extremely kind.
Just beautiful location and room. Lovely hostess who recommended this great restaurant o' rustico. Felt very comfortable at the hotel as a solo traveller. Hotel is in very secluded area, so no supermarkets. The hotel luckily provided a small area to buy some basic refreshments. Lovely breakfast.
Incredible breakfast buffet, omelettes, waffles, English breakfast, fruit, yogurt, pastries, all types of eggs, meats, mimosa station, vegan and gluten free options. Facilities top notch; best view in the Algarve. Staff very accommodating, definitely a luxury experience. Just amazing!
Mostly the location, overlooking the beach and close to all there is to visit in Carvoeiro. The staff of the hotel was very nice. Breakfast in the room was generous and nicely presented on picnic baskets.
Lovely clean room with nice view and staff very helpful and friendly. Comfy bed and the breakfast choices were amazing. Good location for Carvoeiro. About 15 min walk to main beach in centre.
loved location, although very steep walk back from centre of Carvoeiro. Hotel very tranquil, peaceful and quiet. Very good value for money.
Great size room with amenities kitchen etc.
Great place to stay in Carvoeiro, staff, facilities, food, all excellent! A car or other means of transport is needed as it is a 25-30min walk from the centre of Carvoeiro.
Excellent stay for a few days ending our Portugal road-trip. Very nice hotel and very nice staff. Special thanks to Pedro for his excellent wine recommendations.
Carvoeiro is one of our favorite towns in the Algarve. We were looking forward to staying at Villa Lourenco. Unfortunately, Villa Lourenco was a disaster.
