Great hotel very close to the marina from where all boat tours depart. Close to the town, about 10 minute walking-distance to restaurants and shops. We walked from there to the beach and to Ponta da Piedade.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the pool is so refreshing after a full day in the sun. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

History and Sandy Algarve Beaches
With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.
King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.
Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.
The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lovely marina area with plenty of restaurants, the Lighthouse bar on the marina is good for food and reasonable prices. Old town has a large and varied choice of bars and restaurants. Good supermarkets. Easy to get around Ubers are cheaper than taxis. Seems to be a rise in the number of beggars mainly in the old town. Plenty of sea excursions available such as fishing, dolphin spotting and visiting caves.

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina.
Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak.
Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Lagos is an interesting city, with a lively city center and lots of attractions and restaurants but also magnificent nature thanks to the beaches and cliffs of Ponta da Piedade. There are plenty of one day trips to go on nearby such as Sagres, Silves, Benagil, Alvor, etc.

Beautiful beaches and grottos.
Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming.
We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

Lagos is a very beautiful small city to visit, lots of attractions are around, which can be covered by max. 3 full days. I recommend the trip with 3 nights in the Lagos is enough, excluding golf, hiking or surfing requires.
Tivoli Lagos was a lovely hotel to stay at! We were in a superior room with a small balcony. Room was clean, spacious and bathroom was modern and comfortable. They have a great outdoor and indoor pool. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a big range of choices and the hotel has made a lot of efforts to keep everyone safe (breakfast time slots so not too many people are here at once, everyone wears masks while moving inside the hotel). Had an amazing stay, would definitely recommend + book again!
What a wonderful experience. The place is IMMACULATE, probably the cleanest place we have stayed (cleanest than some 5 star hotels, def), central located but quiet (outstanding windows, so we didnt feel that we were in the middle of the action). This beautiful property, family owned, is located in the middle of Lagos Old town. Wonderful location, we went in an out while sightseeing the whole time. Jorge and Angela are adorable hostesses, making sure you have everything you need at any time. WE LOVED IT!!!
Perfect Lagos location right at Dona Ana beach. Beautiful ocean view, steps to beach. Friendly, very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Great restaurant for dinner with amazing sunset views. Huge balcony. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Spotless, clean room. Great rooftop pool. Easy walk to Lagos old city center. Walk to Ponta da Piedade. Free parking in public parking lot right outside hotel. Get a parking spot early morning or late afternoon and leave your car there during your stay.
This is a reasonably priced, clean, hotel located close to the beach and directly on one of the main tourist commercial areas that only allows pedestrian traffic.
My room was clean and cozy with air conditioning, TV and comfortable bed.
The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure.
Parking for my rent a car was close by and reasonably priced in a public parking garage. Breakfast is available for a nominal charge.
I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Lagos.
Location is right on the beach and can't be beaten. They also helpfully rent out beach towels (you have to leave a deposit but you get the money back when you return the towel). The breakfast is decent - there are some hot foods (eggs, sausages, beans), cheese, cold meats, fruit, pastries, cereals, yoghurts, etc. There is a parking lot outside the hotel which I imagine would get quite busy in the hotter months but we had no trouble getting a park
Our room was very spacious. The poll was great it was almost 3 meters deep - nowadays you do not have such pools in hotels. The hotel had access to normal gym where members were training - the gym was very well equipped. Hotel was located close to the old town where you can find a lot of nice restaurants. However the best beach is on the other side of the town. Parking is outside the hotel and very cheap. Receptionists were very helpful.
From the moment we arrived we were wowed with this hotel. The welcome was generous and warm, the staff were attentive and the surroundings were everything you'd expect from a boutique hotel.
The food was wonderful, and the Monkey Bar had a wide selection of drinks. I also enjoyed a few spa treatments which were carried out in a wonderfully relaxing space by excellent therapists - amongst the best massages I've ever had!
Everyone at reception were very welcoming and had great recommendations for not just our stay in Lagos but also recommendations for other regions in Portugal. The hotel was a 5 min walking distance from a gem of a beach with a bar located on the beach. It was also walking distance from great restaurants in downtown Lagos. I would definitely return!
I stayed in a Sea View Jr Suite and would highly recommend if you want a balcony with a view at an affordable price. The room was clean and spacious with a small kitchen. The staff was very friendly. It’s a bit out of town but there is a very nice restaurant directly on the beach next to the hotel. Getting into town is about $3 to 5 EU by Bolt.
Great location near the beach. Could easily catch the bus to other beaches or into Lagos. 2 nice restaurants on the beach within walking distance. 2 bed appointment was really spacious and cleaned twice in our stay. Lovely indoor heated pool was main reason for choosing the hotel, and sauna was a bonus. Friendly staff with excellent English.
Tovoli Lagos is a nice hotel, close to the major attractions, restaurants, and old town. It has a nice pool to sit out by, and provides a shuttle to the nearby Duna Beach. The breakfast buffet is great, with tons of different options, and the staff are all super friendly and helpful, offering tips and recommendations.
The hotel is nicely decorated. Its warm but modern charm is really nice. The breakfast is great, you can choose from many great a la carte options and the staff is super friendly. The location is right across the marina and in walking distance of everything around Lagos. Definitely worth a stay.
The staff was excellent! Jose is the best! 😎
The hotel is very nice and clean, rooms are big and the beds very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the pool was perfect (salty water).
Praia Porto de Mos is like 6 minutes walking and is a very nice beach.
The best hotel in Lagos! 🥰
It was in a perfect location, directly in the heart of the old town of Lagos. Not far from the beautiful beaches and the marina.
The staff was very very friendly, told us a lot about Lagos and what we could do here. Showed us on the map the best places to go.
Fantastic hotel within short walking distance from Lagos downtown area. Has beautiful pool inside with a bunch of loungers. Good quality and selection for breakfasts. Attentive staff who is ready to help with anything. You're going to love staying here.
The views are lovely and the breakfast is amazing… both continental and several a la carte hot options. Best hotel breakfast ever! Not surprising as it is served from Michelin rated restaurant. The rooftop pool area is also very lovely.
Gorgeous boutique hotel. Central location right in the old town of Lagos. Property is newly opened and everything is luxurious and comfortable. Even better than photos. Breakfast offering is outstanding for such a small hotel.
perfectly named it is the most charming hotel we saw in Lagos. absolutely beautiful. the staff were wonderful especially the kitchen staff. the buffet breakfast was amazing
