We were warmly greeted and shown around the property. There is a charming little terrace with birdsong in the morning, next to a fully equipped communal kitchen. We had a great night’s sleep.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.

Gorgeous spot to visit if you want to stear away from big crowds. Views are breathtaking with a bunch of beaches connected by caves and grottos. There really isn't much else there. A small little village with some eating facilities and a small supermarket. It's a perfect spot for one day and night. The fact that you can park your car wherever you please is also very nice.

Great location for beach goers, with multiple pristine, gorgeous coves in close walking proximity.
Friendly staff; we were upgraded to an ocean front view room and they were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout, last day of our trip so we were able to enjoy the beach before our long flight home.
Breakfast (included) was plentiful and offered many options.
Our trip included stays at 5 hotels, this was the only one that actually had a stocked mini fridge.

Porto Covo is an attractive little town with a small fishing harbour. The Main Street has a lot of very touristy shops. A fair choice of restaurants to eat in but nothing special. It was easy to get to using the very efficient Portuguese bus service and a good place to start walking the Rota Vicentina.

Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant.
Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant. Lovely little local fish and fruit market open in the mornings only. No main supermarket that I could see, only small local ones. But a beautiful beach and cove.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling.
Sweet town, but very touristy feeling. Tour buses dropping people in, and the restaurants felt geared for tourists too. (though check out the pizza place in the main street, excellent).
Great view from the coastline but not a swimmable beach. Really central to some great day trips, but I think there are better towns in the area for a longer stay.
Check out the horseriding nearby, excellent.
The breakfast was delicious - lots of delicious fruit, homemade jams and local honey and bread all served on the lovely terrace.
We were only there three nights but would love to come again and participate in the activities Ocean House can organise.
Porto covo is a very pretty and relaxed town surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We went to three restaurants just minutes from ocean house, recommended by Vania, and all were very good - such a treat to have such fresh seafood. We were made to feel so welcome and would love to return.
MUTE’s location is fantastic on the north end of Porto Covo. Overall the vibe is cool and hip. We had a patio room facing the pool and it was nice to have access to the outside lounge area from our room. The views from the rooftop deck for sunset are A+! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. They helped us get a dinner reservation and with our baggage transfer for the Rota Vincentina. The breakfast buffet was awesome and the honor bar for drinks and refreshments was a nice touch.
The accommodation has a great location, near to a grocery store (across the street), the city center (2 min walking) as well as to some beaches (5 and 15 min walking). The host was super friendly and passed by almost everyday to check if everything was Ok and according to the guests expectations. The room was very clean (fresh towels were provided every 2 days) and the common kitchen was well equipped and maintained. The patio was a great place to relax. Definitely a place to return.
Great wee place right close to the centre of this idyllic little village. 1 minute walk to the town square and restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of beds and towels etc. We only stayed one night so didnt have time to use the BBQ etc, but we did have breakfast on the terrace. Finding it was a little iffy, just park on the main square free parking and follow the instructions you receive via text the day before arrival. You have to walk the last 50m.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. They let me check in early and leave my bags a bit past checkout. I cooked in their kitchen with them and they felt like family! Such a beautiful house and so close to the beach. Their backyard with the pool is so tranquil and lovely. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Staying with them was a highlight on my solo trip to Portugal. Would absolutely recommend as the place to stay in Porto Covo!
I really think this one if the best hostels I've ever been. The location is just perfect, super close to the beach and priviledged view to amazing sunsets. The whole concept of active resting is really cool, staff is amazing as well as the food and olace itself is beautiful. Even though I was in a 8 bunk bed room, I felt comfortable and had enough space. Nice music too!
Recently renovated apartment with a well equipped kitchen.
Great location, just 2 mins walking from the town's main square and 5mins walking from the closest beach.
Next to a small square with some parking space.
Beds were comfortable, though a bit hard, which might not please everybody.
Host was very nice and quick to reply.
Great location in Porto Covo. Dina is a sweetheart who goes above and beyond in answering our questions, making sure we are well prepared for food suggestions for even in our next town, only local beach suggestions and places to see. Easy check in and out and also helps us with a good parking suggestion.
Fantastic rural hotel in a great country location and walking distance to amazing beach. Farm animals plus some exotic roaming around. Great discovery. Simple and rustic design with good taste. Very friendly staff and good home cooking.
Lovely spacious terrace with space to dry towels etc. Nicolau is a friendly host who can provide advice about the rota vicentina. Well equipped kitchen. Great location for beaches and restaurants.
Olga welcomed us upon arrival. She showed us around and ensured we had all we needed. A private balcony for seating. A quiet and well kept home. I'd go back anytime I'm in Porto Covo.
Beautiful facilities, great breakfast, super friendly staff making us feel at home, and super close to the beech and Porto Covo. We really enjoyed our stay!
