Room was large clean and comfortable. A few pictures would have lifted it a little but it was generally fine.
The staff and their attitude was excellent! We would certainly come again ad would recommend it.

I had spoken to Steven, the proprietor, of Ty Castell prior to travelling to stay in Caerphilly on Friday 17th May to attend a funeral in Cardiff. He was very professional and helpful. I called him again on my day of arrival to sort out booking in and it was a very smooth process. The room was at the front of the property and it was spacious, light, airy and clean. It had an ample size bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. The double room had tea and coffee making facilities. All in all my impression of Ty Castell was very favourable and would recommend it to anyone. I would certainly stay there again.
Very comfortable room, not too small. Really good water pressure in the shower. Nice bathroom. All very clean.
Friendly and helpful receptionists.
We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. The coffee was pretty food for a machine (2 Italians in our group).

I liked everything about my stay in Pontypridd, both the town itself and the hotel. The hotel has a sister property, which is a bar and restaurant and this was excellent for food. The town has a wonderful park in its' centre, with a beautiful Lido.

Pontypridd surprised us, in a good way!
Pontypridd surprised us, in a good way! It had very vibrant indoor and outdoors markets which offered a huge variety of items. The meat stalls looked wonderful. The shopping centre was equally diverse with some 'chain' stores but many independent stores too. There were some lovely shops selling unusual baby clothes and a fantastic flower shop, Elyn Boutique Faux Wedding Flowers, which specialised in wedding arrangements and flowers which had the most amazing display outside. As we were staying there so we could attend a wedding celebration nearby we really did not see the shops in detail but were amazed at the diversity of shops.
The park was a beautiful place to spend some relaxing time and it was lovely to be able to look at the river and the birds on it from a number of bridges.
The one way system and roads that were only accessible at certain times was challenging, but we managed to get around at the times we needed to. Parking rules were unclear to us so we parked in a carpark that the hotel gave us a permit for.
The town was very clean apart from some areas in the evening, but the areas were cleaned up each morning. The town is vibrant and therefore noisy at night so a central hotel will come with the noise of music and loud shouting, laughter etc which might disturb some people.
We had a meal in Alfred's Bar and Grill and were very pleased with the excellent quality of service, ambience and food. It was nothing like we expected to find in the area. I would highly recommend eating there.
We would happily return to Pontypridd and spend more time there.

Views around the hotel probably is the only thing that I would recommend
Our room number 7 with unacceptable terrible damp smelling mouldy a broken rotten window frames carpet badly soiled dirty ruffled health and safety would have something to say and probably would advise not using this room, bedlinen looked like it hadn’t been changed , dirty very dusty we wrote our names on the shelves very low standard both the bedroom and the bathroom, I could go on much more but I would say £220.50 for that room and without breakfast is shameful, I arrived in my camper van and seriously thought I’d been happy to stay in it .

My daughter lives in Ponty, l live in the Midlands so it's nice to treat ourselves when l come for a visit. We had a lovely evening in the Blue bell hotel and breakfast in Wetherspoons. Really enjoyed our time in Ponty, thanks Wales.
We loved the views, surrounding grounds and the curly road leading up to the hotel it was beautiful.
Great for hikers and sight seeing. Staff were very welcoming, catered to our needs and responsive where possible.
*Would HIGHLY recommend ‘The Railway Inn’ as a replacement for the hotel restaurant. It was a wonderful nearby restaurant which we went to eat at two days in a row. (Check it out on Google if you are in the area)
The staff were excellent, helpful and polite. The food for breakfast and evening meals was superb, the bedroom was clean and beds comfy. We were cycling at nearby bike park Wales and this is a great base. We’ve stayed here twice now whilst cycling and they’ve always found somewhere safe for the bikes- perhaps a dedicated place to put bikes may be a good suggestion and may encourage other riders to stay at this excellent hotel.
A lovely spacious cottage. Clean, all essentials available, comfy beds, good size bedrooms.
The place was ideally located for us as a family. It was easy to park outside the property or as near as and free. Contact with the owners was easy and they are very helpful. The area is beautiful and lots to explore nearby. It was cheaper than a hotel for the time we stayed! This place was perfect in every way possible.
The staff I met at this hotel were friendly and efficient. The hotel is in a central position in Pontypridd with easy access to the shopping area. The bed in the room we had was big and comfortable. There was sufficient wardrobe space and a safe to keep valuables secure. For the price paid for one night's stay (£75) in August, I thought the hotel represented excellent value for money.
We were in wales to visit family and the location was perfect.
The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful!! Looks like it was professionally decorated. It was well stocked and extremely comfortable. We loved the daily visit of the sheep. Perfect for a family gathering and
plenty of toys and games to entertain the little ones. The welcome cakes and bubbly were appreciated and enjoyed!!
Very pleasant staff in all areas, well trained in reception but Restaurant/bar staff though very willing could do with training. The food menu was quite limited for a hotel more like a pub restaurant.
Rooms exceeded expectation and we're very clean and comfortable, beautiful and quiet location
Stayed twice now. Extremely dog friendly,, allowed in the lounge bar area, staff are great with him. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Gorgeous grounds. Lounge bar furniture replaced since our last visit. Very smart.
We were pleasantly surprised how nice our stay was at the Blueberry Hotel. Our room was clean and fresh. The bed was large and extremely comfy, feather pillows and duvets. Tea, coffee and biscuits available.
Pleasant enough place to stay for a couple of nights. Very friendly staff - both reception, waiting and cleaning.
Reception area and restaurant inviting
We would stay again.
Stayed here a few times since 2019 and its usually great value. No breakfast this time but I've enjoyed a few during the last 4 years. Spacious hotel and great staff
