The location is excellent. It was very quiet in the area. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was substantial. The staff were very good.

Just by the central square with a lot of bars and restaurants. Very comfortable bed, and I was very happy that my room had a bath tub. Very nice personnel. And a lovely breakfast on top of that.

I enjoyed the dinner that was provided, but I did think that it was a little bit expensive at €18 for what we got. We had one course with a relatively plain salad and a very small pastry for dessert. we were after some more wine and we’re initially told that we couldn’t have any, but then we could get one carafe more.

The city is interesting, particularly in the old quarter around the cathedral and Gaudi building. There are several very good value hotels in the centre of the city and many restaurants which tend to be busy.

Astorga is a lovely town with plenty to see for a weekend stay. Main attraction is the Antonio Gaudi-designed Bishop's Palace (now a museum), a sort of Sleeping Beauty castle designed as a residence for the bishop of the cathedral next door. Secondly, the architecture and buildings all around town -- you can walk for hours and it's even large enough to get lost in, so bring your phone. The cathedral is sadly not very worthwhile -- drab, disorganized, you can go in but you won't stay long. Tip: Almost all shops are closed Sunday, except for the moust touristic, so do your shopping on Saturday.

The old town center was great--an example for the rest of the world! The whole town seemed to come out in the afternoons and evenings to eat, drink, socialize and people watch. It is a model of good urban design fostering community. All pedestrian of course! The people were very friendly to the peregrinos (like me) passing through on their way to Santiago.

Interesting old town with history, character and a great stop on The Camino de Santiago walk which has given a new lease of life to Astorga. The cuisine is another attraction and one hopes the improved economy will continue ... with its abnormally large cathedral and the Gaudi palace, charming town hall, plus the eccentric Paneiro poet family dwelling all add interest and
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The hostal was clean and comfortable. I felt very safe there as a solo traveller. The menu was explained very well and I really enjoyed my dinner. There was a map left in my room of Astorga and it provided a wide range of information for me. I had a lovely stay at Hostal Residencia Delfin. Thank you.
This family home built in 1790 has been in the family for over 230 years. The property is truly unique and its location directly on the Camino and within steps of the Astorga Cathedral and the Bishops Palace. As you walk around the courtyard and family home you become a part of this homes history.
We are doing the Camino de Santiago. This is a fantastic place in Astorga and has everything that you may need - towels, hot shower, coffee, comfortable beds and even a hair dryer. The host was very kind and helped us to get a taxi as we were unable to continue walking for the next section.
Excellent location - near the Cathedral, Gaudi's Palace, shops, a laundry, many cafes and restaurants, and El Camino. The hotel has a pool and hot tub; the hotel needs to place on its website that there is a charge (about $20 a person) to access the pool/hot tub.
This hotel is right in the middle of Astorga. Everything what you want to visit is in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and even helps at late hours. Our room was well sized for four persons. The restaurant of the hotel serves food at a fair price.
Amazing accommodation and beautiful town. The hostess was very helpful and super friendly. The accommodation was out of the hustle and bustle of the plaza but just around the corner from the plaza. When in Astorga again, I'll definitely book with her again!
Good hotel in good spot ! Astorga serves good breakfasts on all of its plazas: the best near the Council Hall. This hotel is next to the cathedral and the Gaudi Palace. Also close to shops, busstation, train.
beautiful modern hotel. first rate room. Jenny on reception was amazing and helped sort out few issues as I have little Spanish. I noticed she was also helping another guest later on. how lovely.
Perfectly fine hotel, probably a little pricey for what it is. Very small shower/bathroom but room is fine. Quick check in. Short walk from the Camino and the other attractions of Astorga.
The apartment is modern, clean, spacious and well appointed! The bathrooms were large and very user-friendly. We found the apartment to be an oasis in Astorga.
