The old city of Toledo looks magnificent from the parador or from across the valley. There is an attractive river walk outside the city wall with historic bridges which lead up to the city. There are many cobbled streets to wander around but we couldn’t find a quiet traffic free square to enjoy a coffee and people watch. For me, the skyline was the most memorable part of my visit.

The old city was interesting to explore with so much of the old walls still intact. You can see the sites in one day.

Beautiful storybook-like old town. Great food everywhere.
Beautiful storybook-like old town. Great food everywhere. Our faves were the churros and carcamusas. If walking is not for you, there's a cute train that you can ride to see the highlights without having to walk up and down the cobbled streets.

Cathedral visit is essential, people were very friendly (except when driving), good eating including a few upscale gems, fun to get lost in winding streets, only to find you are a minute from where you started.

The city is beautiful.
The city is beautiful. The sites however aren't much to look at. The only two really worth it was the cathedral and the jesuit church. For example, the synagogue, you enter and you've seen it all. That was a recurrent theme in all our visits. You could see a site in two minutes. The Alcazar was closed except for the military museum part of it. Not much to see

Incredible city and cathedral that everyone should visit.
Incredible city and cathedral that everyone should visit.
Don't even think about driving into the old town. Park in one of the huge underground parking lots near the old town and walk or take a cab.
Our stay was only one night because we were traveling, but this hotel was the correct choice. When compared to others, the price/quality seemed the best. The room was spacious, modern and the bed really comfortable and big. Others complain about the internet, but in my room (112) I had no issues. The location is ideal, because it is just outside the walls to the old town and thus away from all the confusion, but still close to get there walking.
Adorable building in the heart of Toledo’s old town. The owners/hosts excel in friendliness and local knowledge, and really are role models of helpfulness and personal attention. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the AC saves you from the heat of the Castilian summer. It is great that the hotel has a discount on a public parking a few hundred meters up the hill…
Amazing location with fabulous views of Toledo from our room. Bus into the Old Town just 5mins walk. (No 71) Parking on site. We had an issue with the plumbing which was fixed immediately. The reception staff were lovely and so helpful. Regardless of our comments below we absolutely recommend this hotel.
