We were delighted with this hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, efficient, competent and completely professional. The suite was outstanding with plenty of comfortable furniture. As well as an excellent breakfast buffet, hot egg dishes were cooked to order. Evenings at the rooftop restaurant and bar were a delight, with great meals and superb views over the historic city. The laundry service was fast and efficient. Located in the old town we could step out of the hotel and into history.

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood-fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soda drinks Pipi and Orela.
So just pack your bags and head to Split Airport! Booking.com has plenty of sunny apartments, friendly guest houses and well-appointed hotels for your Split adventure.

Split is an absolute must see and stay in for at least two days if you are visiting the Dalmatian coast. It combines great views, beautiful architecture and a warm welcome from all staff. We visited end of April in the low season so it was not too crowded…

Plenty of cafes for drinks & eating out - watching the world go by!
Historic city that has a vast amount of history to explore
Adventure trips out to national park, island trips & quad biking - we did all these and it made the holiday so enjoyable
The local buses are easy to navigate around the city and get out further - week ticket €20
Word of caution - review where you eat, as there are a lot of quick turnaround tourist venues that I found were not to a high standard

Perfect destination for a four-day break.
Perfect destination for a four-day break. So much to see and do. Lovely walks in each direction out of town with gorgeous views of the islands and pretty beaches. Lots of history and culture in the old town. So many fabulous restaurants and cafes. It's a vibrant city, but also relaxed and safe. I will visit again in summer for longer and next time and take day trips to the beautiful islands. A walk up Marjan hill is a must!

Split was much more than I expected.
Split was much more than I expected. I was told that it was very touristy, but we found it to have tourists, but also many locals. The streets were clean. We really enjoyed Split. It has a great history and has been lovingly restored over the centuries. We parked our car in an outside lot for 3 nights with no issues.

Beautiful city, lots of historic sites, buildings and alleyways to explore. Visual treasures at every turn . The promenade along the sea is lovely as is the hike up to Marian Forest Park. Bus, train and ferry stations are all very close to the old city and very convenient. Great green market, wonderful strawberries ! We were three days and it was perfect. Great food to. Konoda Kod Jose was our favorite place to eat. Excellent food , great staff, lovely atmosphere and setting and very reasonable prices. Oh and check out the fish market.
Stayed 3 nights in the deluxe studio apartment which certainly lived up to its name. This place is simply gorgeous. Well laid out and beautifully furnished. Plenty of room for 3 people to stay, with both a double bed and sofa bed.
The bathroom is huge with one of the best walk-in showers I've ever experienced. Great communication with the property before and during my stay, including recommendations for local restaurants. An easy walk into the old town. This was one of my favourite places to stay in 2 weeks of travelling through Croatia.
Everything. The accurate explanation for check-in. The apartment itself, the toiletries in the bathroom. There was not a single thing that could disappoint you. The place was beatiful, clean, comfortable and Ines was a professional. I would stay there to live. There was coffee (lovely Nescafe machine) and tea.
It was the best of the choices during our 8 days in Croatia. I work in hotels for many years, this was one of the best experiences staying away from home.
It has everything we needed in the room, and nice Seaview. About 7 mins walk to the old town , lots of restaurants, bars and shops. There's a supermarket down the road and a bakery off the other side of the road about 2 mins walk. The only downside is that the noise from the wind and rain gets really loud in the morning, and this kind of weather is really rare in May in Croatia
We had a great stay in a most comfortable, clean and attractive setting, with helpful staff. Room was decorated to a great standard, full of light and air. Good location with main shopping area close by. Definitely would stay here again. The shower was particularly good with a strong water flow. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen in Croatia.
Jose the host was amazing, he arranged us private transfer from the airport, met us at the drop off, helped with luggage and answered any questions we had the entire stay very qucikly, with lots of great tips to navigate Split, he even gave us pointers on our next stop in Croatia. If we make it back to Split, we will stay with Jose. A/C worked GREAT!!
A parking space was saved for us, just across the street. The staff, especially Mate, was very helpful and friendly. Good location for walking to the Old Town. The room was decorated in a nice, nautical theme, clean, comfortable and quiet. Tasty pizza in the restaurant. One of my favorite stays in our 2 week visit in Croatia.
The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. We liked the large shower and the king size bed.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They, like many Croatians, like to kid around so it was always a pleasure to interact with them.
The hotel is adjacent to Old Town with a taxi stand right across the street.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. The location is great because the old town is just across the street and in front of the building there are supermarkets and bakeries. The host was very welcoming and kind but the best part of this experience was definitely the view of the entire city centre and harbour.
Large apartment with onsite parking and wonderful hosts. It was super clean and the hosts prepared some snacks and drinks for us in the fridge. Location is 5 min walk to shopping mall, nice pizzeria/Croatian food restaurant across the road and only 10 min drive to old town Split. Air con saved us in the heat.
The Cornaro hotel is on the edge of Old Town, so very convenient for visiting the historic sights in Split. The staff was very kind and helpful, onsite parking is available (additional $) and a fantastic free continental breakfast was included with our stay. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean.
We loved this apartment, just like a hotel room but bigger. Great location, good parking facilities, very clean and lovely host. We have stayed in four different cities in Croatia and this was the best apartment. Thank you. The bed was particularly comfortable and the shower was great.
Lovely spa, excellent massage by Iris. Modern hotel, super clean and friendly staff. One of the best breakfast buffets I’ve had in a hotel and certainly the best in Croatia. Although outside the old city an easy walk to all the sites. Huge free parking space too.
The location of the hotel was perfect, staff extremely knowledgeable and friendly, very good breakfast and lovely furnishings. I would highly recommend the Villa Split Heritage Hotel to anyone staying in Split, Croatia.
my husband and I loved this place! very clean, calm… the apartment has everything that you need. there is supermarket very near, and 20 minutes to old town, but the way is easy… we loved the Croatia ❤️
This hotel was the perfect start to our adventure in Croatia. The staff were very friendly and professional. We are looking forward to our return to Split for our final 2 nights at Villa M.
The guy that runs the hostel is exceptionally nice. The price is good for Croatia and if you are someone who spends all day out and only come to hostel at night its perfect for you.
The apartment was spacious, modern and clean in an excellent location being close to the Riva, old town and Varos area where the best restaurants were for authentic Croatian dishes.
