The location was perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful. The place looked even better than advertised. The fresh load of bread and chocolates were a lovely touch. Will definitely be back for another stay😊

The Cottage is really a wonderful place. Not just the Cottage itself, nicely restored and decorated the whole setting with the lovely gardens is just really nice. Also it's a great place to look at the wine destinations near by. Nice coffee machine and a very welcome treat to some tim tams.❤️😁 The kitchen has all you need and more. Thank you for having us. Accommodation was excellent, waking up to Kookaburra's made a change from what we where used to living in the Bush ourselves. Layout was excellent and ideal for a young family.

The Stables provided 2 large queen bedrooms, a large bathroom (with an excellent shower) & kitchen/lounge/dining area. We didn't get to use the wood fire but it would be lovely & cosy in Winter. The outside area was lovely too. A nice spot to sit outside & enjoy the sun & some Barossa Valley wine!

(We were welcomed by a roaring fire which the owners had already started for us. They left us to it and we had lots of privacy which we loved!) A well equipped kitchen and a lovely big bathroom were also a highlight!

Information from the hosts about things to do in the area was great. A lovely welcome basket in the kitchen with snacks and breakfast ideas. The local markets, hotels for meals and cellar doors were fabulous too.

Beautiful views of the surrounding fields, breakfast was lovely (Evelyn's bread and spiced plum jam were highlights) and the bed was so comfortable! The kitchen was also well stocked utensils-wise and the bathroom was spacious and clean. We recommend sitting at the outside table under the trees for breakfast, so relaxing! Absolutely worth the price, Meander Retreat is a hidden gem and we'll definitely be back!
