The Barossa Cottages are in a great location not too far from a number of Barossa Valley towns. The Stables provided 2 large queen bedrooms, a large bathroom (with an excellent shower) & kitchen/lounge/dining area. We didn't get to use the wood fire but it would be lovely & cosy in Winter. The outside area was lovely too. A nice spot to sit outside & enjoy the sun & some Barossa Valley wine!

We loved the peace and tranquility. The view and outlook was just lovely. Inside, we were kept cosy and warm in front of the fireplace. (We were welcomed by a roaring fire which the owners had already started for us. They left us to it and we had lots of privacy which we loved!) A well equipped kitchen and a lovely big bathroom were also a highlight!

A very relaxing place to stay with a romantic wood stove and a gorgeous garden. Information from the hosts about things to do in the area was great. A lovely welcome basket in the kitchen with snacks and breakfast ideas. The local markets, hotels for meals and cellar doors were fabulous too.

Amazing supplies were found in the room. The full-size working kitchen was helpful as it is a bit out of town, so walking distance eating out options are limited.

Evelyn, the host, was so welcoming and the room was lovely and very cozy. Beautiful views of the surrounding fields, breakfast was lovely (Evelyn's bread and spiced plum jam were highlights) and the bed was so comfortable! The kitchen was also well stocked utensils-wise and the bathroom was spacious and clean. We recommend sitting at the outside table under the trees for breakfast, so relaxing! Absolutely worth the price, Meander Retreat is a hidden gem and we'll definitely be back!
