Very nice and spacious place - more a suite in fact - with nice view to both sides and giving a luxurious feel. The living room and bedroom were divided by a hall shared with other guests, which we didn't mind. We liked having coffee and water there (though I prefer real coffee and a machineta to coffee capsules, particularly in Italy), but the water came in glass bottles which we really appreciated. The beds were super comfortable. And the host very helpful and easy-going.

We loved the location, walking distance to the train station and city center, but still a very quiet neighbourhood. Also, the owner was really nice and helpful, providing a lot of good recommendations for visits and meals. We also had a nice breakfast included.

Elisa! What a fantastic, kind and patient host! The apartment was in an a fabulous location, spotlessly clean and provided everything we could possibly need. It has a washer and dryer with detergent so we left with a suitcase of clean clothes. The pastry shop directly across the street got us going with delicious pastries, coffee, although Elisa had everything you need to make your own. Her attention every need and detail was above and beyond. Can’t thank you enough, Elisa! PS: Jeff ate the whole dish of candies that you left. We agree that the Palazzo Te was breathtaking!

There were bicycles available (Mantua is a great cycling city), though we preferred to walk (too many cobbles for our elderly backs to enjoy a bike). The house is a brisk 15 minutes' walk from MaMu and around half an hour to the old town, though there are buses if you prefer. There's also a (clothes) washing machine and a pulley in the bathroom for drying.

Very quiet place, I slept soooo well there! And the breakfast is excellent! There also is a shared kitchen with all items one needs. There one can cook one's own food. The lady who runs the place will help you with everything she can do. E.g.: I am travelling on a bicycle with a bicycle trailor. Roberta is super-friendly and was always willing to go that step further to ensure that my stay was comfortable. She had also left a 'welcome' basket containing cereals, biscuits etc, plus water and fruit drinks in the fridge. If I return to Mantova in the future I will definitely stay there again!
