The location, Lihue, was the perfect base for driving around the island, and there was a beach across the road with restaurants and bars right there. Highly recommended.

Our host is an excellent communicator and quickly replied if we had an inquiry. He also provided lots of useful information regarding our stay and island attractions. The staff was very helpful and maintained the common areas such as the pool area and BBQ grill very clean.

We have teenagers so 2 bedrooms, 2 baths was a must. The kitchen was also a priority as we like to prepare some meals. Kauai Palms is an old-Hawaii style hotel that is located very conveniently. The kitchenette allowed us to fix some food and try to get on island time. They offer the BEST coffee in the morning!! We enjoyed sitting outside our rooms and even got to know the neighbors.

Great if you want a central location for a week of exploring all parts of the island. Also nice and quiet (no roosters) and couldn’t hear any neighbors either. AC units in windows. Full kitchen and washer/dryer in unit. Plenty of space - was larger then expected.

You can park your car free of charge and the apartments are very comfortable and big enough.
