I was able to bring my dogs with me which saved a lot of money. Beautiful views coupled with a good coffee machine made mornings great. The water was hot with good pressure which is also nice. Walking distance to many restaurants. Also there were dishes available for use which we used for making our breakfast.

Fantastic location on the edge of the black forest, easy reach to local stores and Strasbourg. Friendly host with lots of local information provided. Spacious apartment with lovely views and patio to enjoy. Kitchen has everything you need for a short stay and good sized bathroom. Wifi is included for the majority of the day which was very helpful a phone signals not that great. Great local walks do to, I highly recommend the panoramic hike around Sasbachwalden, this is very well sign posted and if you feel more adventurous I recommend the circular walk from Mummelsee to Seebach. Both hikes can be found on komoot. Sasbachwalden had a few restaurants and more importantly two bakers. Nearest supermarket ( Rewe and lidlh) can be found Kapplerodeck.

This is a wonderful property. The host was very kind and helpful. The space itself is really huge! There were 4 of us (2 couples) and there was so much room for us. The view is breathtaking (minus the few rainy days we had). And the place is really well-equipped with all the supplies and storage space you could possibly need. We were there for 6 nights, but could have easily spent a month and still been comfortable. 2 full bedrooms, essentially 3 living room-type rooms, huge dining area, 1.5 baths, huge kitchen, and really large wrap-around balcony that is accessible from living room and one bedroom. The place was immaculately clean. The house itself, as well as the neighborhood, are so cute and charming. The location is great, too. The town of Sasbachwalden is adorable (I recommend the Schnapps hike!). About 15 minutes away was a Rewe (grocery store) which was open to 10 pm each night, a rarity for German stores. We bought tons of groceries and cooked almost every night. Strasbourg, France is only about 45 minutes away. And most of the Black Forest Highlights are also within about an hour or so. Please note, however, that this is basically "up the mountain" from the main town of Sasbachwalden. So it really is best reached by car. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend this vacation home. A huge thank you to the lovely host who was so nice!
