Very welcoming staff who personally showed us around the facilities. Lots of comfortable seating areas including a large conservatory with pool table, piano and honesty bar. Cooked to order breakfast which was very tasty. There was a lovely garden which we didn't use due to the weather but can imagine it to be a very relaxing space in the warmer weather. Great location, a short walk into the town centre and seafront. Would highly recommend and would return if in the area.

The location was truly beautiful, the views from the garden and the windows of our room were far reaching and serene. We enjoyed sitting in the spacious garden soaking up the peaceful and secluded atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order, and nothing was too much trouble. The farmhouse itself is very roomy, you could relax in the sitting room, outside on the terrace or in the garden. The decor and furnishings were very tasteful, we really felt as though we had stayed somewhere quite special. We would love to stay again.

A variety of foods were presented buffet style at breakfast. A cooked breakfast could also be ordered and was brought to the table. The dining room was spacious and delightfully decorated with views out to the garden and surrounding countryside. Everywhere was beautifully decorated and gave a comfortable and relaxed feel. The hotel is in a wonderful location. We were upgraded to The Diary one of the self catering cottages as it provided a cooler room during the heatwave.

Peaceful and relaxing stay in this lovely country house. Well situated for walking The Byes riverside walk into town and on to the seafront. Staff are lovely, attentive and caring. Food was good, breakfast delicious and we had dinner on one of the 3 evenings we stayed there. Enjoyed a cream tea in the delightful gardens. A real green space oasis in the heart of Sidmouth. Peaceful and quiet.

We loved everything about the hotel. The staff were so lovely, helpful, and made you feel at home. The room was lovely and spacious and well laid out and we had a great view of the sea. We stayed two nights and had breakfast each day and one evening meal there. The food was lovely. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meal was delicious. We enjoyed a drink in the evening in the bar which was such a lovely place to sit and relax. We will definitely be back.
