Outstanding place to stay, staff is fabulous, garden lush and peaceful. Very family friendly, directly on the beach, pool is nice.. Cool breeze in a very very hot climate. Went there over New years and they had the best celebration, drums and dj on the beach. Food was by far the best I have ever had. It was the best time ever. Will definitely go back there!!!

The house is the perfect gateway for visiting the island as it is well connected (but you need a driver) with the north, the south and the capital. The common spaces are huge and modernly furnished. The added value is represented by the staff: the house manager, the chef and the cleaning ladies were extremely helpful and the chef cooked amazing dinners. Staying is this hotel was beautiful experience - hotel is located at the very end of beach and gives an escape from bysy Kiwengwa beach. You can relax at hotel and have some fun at the beach - best of both. Infinity pool and view from it was best feature - no other hotel in Zanzibar has view like Shooting Star. Breakfast was good, staff was very welcoming and helpful. If you want peaceful stay, beautiful views and still be close to activities and local restaurants - this is the best hotel. One additional recommendation - when staying at this hotel - have dinner/lunch at Amour restaurant nearby - you will not regret it.
