This is a lovely guesthouse in a stunning location in the mountains. Old fashioned in a great way, from decor to food and professionalism. I loved the log fire on a cold and wet winter night. The dinner and breakfast were excellent!

Friendly staff, excellent facilities and accommodating management. Not one of our requests was denied wether it was n bucket of ice or Bananas for our morning ride. Breakfast consisted of a wide variety of fruits, yogurts, warm meats, cold meats, cheeses, egg’s, omelettes and much more. The rooms were clean, the property clean and the Magnolia’s was in full bloom. The views from the hotel down the Magoeba’s kloof and up-to to the Iron Crown are breathtaking. We did not have time to enjoy the hiking routes but will visit again.

Food was superb, staff very friendly and helpful. Yes the hotel is a little outdated which might bother some but is clean and has a lovely charm about it. Beautiful area.

The friendly staff, the food, the spacious rooms and a bathroom with an outside shower. It is a great place for relaxing. I enjoyed the boat ride( though very short) and the tranquil of the island. The clubhouse, the village together with the spa are spectacular!
