Thanks to this, you can relax incredibly and listen to the sounds of the jungle (you can hear the monkeys very well in the evening) instead of car engines. + Swimming pools - there are several of them, the water in them is warm, one is even additionally heated. And a swimming pool for children with a small slide (this one would need to be renovated, as it is difficult to slide down). + The garden and all the greenery around the hotel - it is fantastically maintained and the staff constantly takes care of it! + Large apartments with 2 bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms) are available, which also have a large balcony. + There is a great path around the lake - walking along it is very pleasant, and you can also read various natural facts. + Breakfast - quite a large selection (although it is usually larger in 5* hotels). I missed the flavors of European cuisine.

We were on quite a tight budget and stayed in one of the smaller, functional rooms without a pool view. But when we arrived, we wished we'd loosened the purse strings a little and chosen a poolside room. We still had an excellent stay, however.

We loved our stay at Pangkor Laut. It is a beautiful resort on a small jungle island. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our room, the view, the poolside, the beach, the spa, everything was perfect. You can take Shuttle busses around the resort, however we did everything by foot. (be aware it is not a flat island and it goes quite uphill/downhill to the beach). You see a lot of animals (monkeys, hornbills, etc.), which is very nice. The resort has a nice relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful ambiance and offers very good quality of service and food. We will for sure be back.
