Set in Călimăneşti, 300 metres from Cozia AquaPark, RIVER Hotel & SPA offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a shared lounge. Everything was perfect! The hotel room was spacious, had very nice design and offered great views to the mountain and river (we were at the 3rd floor). The matress was very comfortable, not too soft, not too hard. The bedroom and bathroom were very well organized and practical. The bathroom has a spacious shower and a lot of space to place personal items on. The room had a nice balcony. Everything was spotless. All staff was one of the most friendly that I have encountered. The spa was very well organized and spotless, included an indoor-outdoor thermal pool, children pool, 2 saunas, showers, nice music and massage room. The restaurant has amazing food, and breakfast was very variate and delicious. One of the best breakfast experiences for us. Hotel's own good and spacious parking space was available for free. Riverside landskapes and riverside walking path are close to the hotel. 5 star experience for us and we we are looking forward to visit again this hotel.

Surrounded by the Zavoi Park, 300 metres from the centre of Ramnicu Valcea, Grand Hotel Sofianu hosts an art museum with works of 500 representative Romanian plastic artists. Grand Hotel Sofianu is a real surprise in Râmnicu Vâlcea. Love its location near the park. The accommodation is as advertised, a museum like feeling. We will be back for more ❤️ The bottle of wine on arrival... such a pleasant goodwill gesture
