There are many things we really loved. I guess, we got especially impressed by this amazing view that allows you to see the mountains as well as the sea. The house has so many places to relax - either in the sun or in the shadow but whatever you select you still will have a stunning view, especially at sunset. The direction of the house is a big plus as you will get lot of the light until sunset while other houses are already in the shadow of the mountains. Inside of the house you will find yourself in a comfortable, cosy home that has everything you need to relax. From air condition to a full equipped kitchen with modern appliances, comfortable beds, and much more. I liked a lot that the pictures of this offering are exactly what you will get - no surprises. Although we had been just two of us it has enough space for a group of 6 people. However, we enjoyed the time-off without our kids (they had a great time with their grandparents). Last but not least, Jan - the owner of this house - was very helpful from the start. When arriving on Easter Sunday, he was giving us some helpful hint where to get some grocery while driving from Malaga Airport to Competa. He also mentioned that he has some "snacks" prepared - which was a lot of nice stuff that filled the fridge already. We met him at a spot before entering the labyrinth of path to the house (Google Maps still finds it but having a local showing you the way the first time is better) and explained the house so we had no stress at any time. Apart from that, the region is nice and we had some nice dinners in the different restaurants around the house.

The house was in the centre of the town, close to shops and restaurants. It was spotless, and well equipped. Marlene, our host, was quick to respond to our questions about the house and town before we arrived, and, even though she was away, continued to help us with information during our stay. Marlene provided some information on local walks (in English) as she knew that was one of the things we were interested in. She also researched paddel and tennis facilities for us. We had a very comfortable stay, and would recommend the accommodation.

The house is lovely. It is very clean (newly refurbished) and comfortable. Everything you need for a self catering, home from home experience is provided. Little details like some milk, coffee pods, water and juice, dishwasher tablets - the list is too long to name everything - have all been thought about. The roof terrace with hot tub is fantastic. The views are spectacular. The village is big and has all amenities and excellent restaurants but it is still extremely peaceful. We loved everything about it. Michelle was a great host and gave suggestions of things to do and places to go.

    This was our second stay at Villa Mimosa, one of several properties we have rented in Competa in recent years. Access can be a problem in and around Competa but this property is on a 'proper' road which is well lit. Only my wife and I stayed although the size and facilities could easily accomodate six in comfort. Temperatures have been exceptionally high this year and the recently upgraded AirCon was a welcome addition. Broadband was entirely reliable throughout our stay.

    Honestly the best B&B I have every stayed in - and I have stayed in a lot! From the calming decor to the freshly made breakfast everything was perfect. We had a room with a huge bathroom and luxurious free-standing bath, the sort of facilities you would expect to find in a luxury hotel. We did not have a view from our bedroom, but we had free rein of the house including the roof terrace where the views are breathtaking. The landlady (Amber) went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. We did not want to leave!
