Les Coumayres is a true gem, where my family (2 kids aged 5 and 7) had a lovely stay. The property is very beautiful, with a stunning view over the hills, relaxing hammocks, a little playground and a nice pool. The apartment we stayed in (Le Chene) had everything we needed, including sufficient kitchen supplies to make a nice homecooked meal. There were also plenty of toys for the kids (even 3 cats 😊). Graham is a very nice host, providing lots of tips for fun things to do in the surroundings. We hiked and swam in a nearby gorge, visited local villages and walked around a beautiful lake. The accommodation is a bit remote, so you’ll need a car to get there.

Everything was perfect. We loved the place. It’s simply amazing! Patricia provides coffee capsules (I am a coffee addict), she left us wines, beers, breakfast necessities. You can find salt, pepper, other spices in the cupboards. I am totally envious of her kitchen! They have the best fridge, Haier. Every single item in the kitchen and bathrooms is of very good brand. We used the grill outside for our meat as it was still hot to use the chimney. The kids loved the jacuzzi.

The comfort level was fine, the roominess, the friendliness of the owner, who gave us a lovely bottle of her family wine, and the interesting mediaeval village.

The big house has 4 rooms plus kitchenette, toilet corner and shower, inkl. 3 bedrooms. Maria was very friendly and helpful, her family (3 kids) and her super well trained dog Wuffy live close by. There was coffee (pads), tea, sugar, salt, all kinds of kitchen utensils, a small BBQ grill, a fireplace with enough wood, a front porch/ terrace in rhe morning sun (with sun shield), a dinner tray ... everything was cared for. The beds were really comfortable and big, the neighborhood is absolutely quiet, we could hear rare birds, the hiking path starts right behind the house, the prehistoric trail as well 😉 It's 2 km away from Olargues with the Voie Verte, it's only 6 km to the Georges d'Heric, 9 km to the George de Colombier (fantastic canyons!) and we loved the place very much.
