Amazing place! Super clean and well maintained in a location that is spot on for visiting different parts of the island, as well as giving you a taste of local village life. The hosts are responsive and generous, providing many extras such as dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid and BBQ charcoal, that you don't usually get with rentals. We chose this villa in particular because of the extras - a gym, jacuzzi, sauna, billiard table and table tennis - and we had a great time using them. For families with young kids there's even more equipment to keep them occupied while you chill at the pool. Highly recommended.

The owners live downstairs and are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We had exclusive use of the beautiful garden and pool with comfortable sunbeds. The apartment is on the first (top) floor with its own entrance with ample balconies, insect nets on the windows and good air conditioning. The location is perfect with the village restaurants and supermarket a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend a stay here.

You need a car and are only 10 min drive from Rethymno. Villa is fully cleaned every few days as well as the pool, all done at a time that suits. The owner is a nice guy who is very helpful and good to deal with. There are 2 local tavernas within 1 min walk that were busy most nights.

In the village of Pigi we enjoyed the atmosphere of the locals (try Zorbas Taverna). Nearby Rethymno offers many possibilities. And the magical beaches in the vicinity met our expectations above all.
