Perfect Villa with amazing view. Everything what you need is on site. Clean swimming pool, short distance to best local Taverna. Effie is a very polite and professional host. I would recommend to anyone. We have spent amazing 11 days with our family of 7 with kids playing and swimming most of the day. Thank you very much for such an amazing experience.

We arrived late from our flight but George kindly left a key for us. His beautiful mother had made us muffin and biscuits which were exceptional. His father clearned the pool every morning. Also his mother made us more Greek deserts during our stay. Beautiful,beautiful people!! The view was amazing and the pool just a dream. The entire Villa was perfect for our stay , we are seasoned travellers and this villa if you want your own privacy and serenity is the ideal location. I would suggest hiring a car but we managed walking down to rethymno and getting a taxi back when we needed food supplies. The two local tavernas are a few minutes away offering homemade food and both Stella & Elena the owners of each couldn't be more hospitable I'm not easily impressed but I can assure anyway Villa Maria is just a magical place to have a lovely holiday. We spent such a great time at Agapi's house! The villa is very nice designed, very clean and fully equipped. The view from the terrace is magnificent: you are in the middle of a hill of olive trees and the sea is at the edge! The garden has trees and flowers...you are really in the heart of the beautiful nature! Having your coffee at the shadow of a big olive tree, in a complete quietness, is absolutely gorgeous. If you love quietness and natural beauty, you couldn't ask for more! The location of the villa is very good. It is very close to the charming Rethymno city, and also a good point to start exploring the island: to West, to East and to the main roads leading to the South beaches and other objectives. And on top of all these, you will have the chance to meet Nikos – a very kind person, always being in touch with you, taking good care of you in case you need something, and his father – a nice and warm person, with such a good energy! Thank you very much for having the chance to meet you, for spending such a great time in your villa, and not the least, for your very good own products gift! :-) Our warmest hugs! We definitely recommend this place and for sure we will be back again!

Just come back from a week in this Villa. Amazing place with amazing views! Stelios met us on arrival and gave us a guided tour of the property! What a place! Very open plan interior, very clean and comfortable. There were only 4 of us but plenty of space for a larger group. The outside of the Villa is just as impressive, with a lovey balcony with the most amazing view! The pool is a lovely size and super clean with plenty of Sun loungers. There is also a side terrace off the main dining room and another area which has another seating area next to an outdoor oven and BBQ. Half way through the week, Stelios also dropped off the most amazing home cooked Moussaka and changed all the towels for fresh ones! I wouldn’t hesitate coming back! Thank you Stelios

Two families with children had a wonderful vacation for two weeks (August - September 2021) in one of the Aloni villas. It is a complex of several villas located in the village Roussospiti above Rethymno. The road from Rethymno is good but winding, so leisurely driving is recommended. The villas have a beautiful view of the sea, Rethymno and the mountains. Despite the small area, all villas are secluded, separated by dense beautiful vegetation, which hides the neighbors from each other. Villas are suitable for staying with children. George and his wife helped with all aspects of our stay. Cleaning of the villas with a change of linen took place once every few days, the pool and yard were cleaned daily (except weekends). On arrival, we were welcomed with a fruit basket, wine and raki (later stocks of wine were periodically updated for what a big special thanks). Because of the topography of the area, the villa is built so that when you enter you come into a large living room with a kitchen, toilet and a beautiful view wide balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking, there is a large refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave etc. On the lower floor there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and access to a fairly large pool, the pool is 80cm - 180cm deep. All rooms are air conditioned. But the villa itself is built so that there is not much heat and even without air conditioning our stay in the villa was comfortable. The villa has a beautiful garden. Next to the entrance of the villa there’s a large barbecue oven and a table. Near the villa you can easily park 2 cars. For a comfortable stay in the villa, the opportunity to go to the beach and into town, travel over Crete - the car is a must. However, there’s a bus stop 500 m from villa so you can get to Rethymno in 15-20 minutes. Nearby there are 2 tavernas and a small store, but as they are located below the villa, it will be more comfortable to go by car. Food and drinks we bought in Lidl.
