Our hosts were amazing. My daughter broke her foot two days before our flight to Ireland. They helped us source a wheel chair which made Blarney Castle and dinner in Kinsale enjoyable. We are soooo grateful for their kindness, help, and hospitality. It is a clean, new townhome with very comfortable bedrooms and a kitchen.

Loved the location, everything is convenient to walk to and the place is beautifully done, it has a great kitchen with every appliance one might need. And a bonus of an outside terrace. Fiona was very helpful and left us a wonderful collection of treats!

Everything! This beautiful 500 year old home was delightful and impeccably kept. Our host was certain to make sure we had everything we could possibly need during our stay. We loved this location in Kinsale. The property is incredible, with lovely views of Kinsale. We loved relaxing in the living room as a family, or sitting out on the sun porch. The location was fantastic - all of Kinsale right at your doorstep. Rita was very nice, providing directions to us over the telephone when we arrived at the wrong location. Beds were supremely comfortable, and there was no noise at all so we got great sleep. We appreciated the books in the unit, a couple of which we used as bedtime books for my 3 year old. (It's hard to travel with enough books to keep a kid entertained for weeks!) I would recommend this property to anyone as the perfect way to see Kinsale.

The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure everything is spot on. We loved the decor, the facilities and the surroundings and especially appreciated the warm welcome from the furries (and the humans!) Our stay gave us special memories of our trip to the area. Also, a special shout out to the Flour House in Riverstick village which supplied us with excellent scones, pastries and bakes.

The shower is perfect and the bed is so good, you could spend the whole vacation in it. Kinsale is only a tiny village and when you stay at Friar's Lodge, you easily walk into town in a few minutes.
