Brand new, well maintained, walking distance to both public transportation into the city as well as subsistence. The fact that the staff left us enough groceries for breakfast the first morning was so awesome. Totally alleviated the stress of having to feed five people after the previous days travel. Laundry was also a great perk.

I fell in love with this property online. Staying there was magical. It's beautiful and superbly furnished with sympathetic furniture and ornaments. I particularly liked the windows, the pictures, books, and the embroidered fire screen. The amazing windows look out onto parkland and the river. It was so nice to actually be in the parkland of an historic home. I did a guided tour of Castletown house which I recommend. Walks along the river and through park were beautiful. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Check in and out was very easy. The log fire - I hadn't intended to use - but it certainly was lovely to light each evening. I felt very happy and safe here and hope to return next year. There were shops, cafes etc within a reasonable walking distance, the property is at the edge of park and behind it is a lane. So very quiet and secluded in the evenings. I didn't go out in the evening- the property is somewhere you actually want to spend time in. No TV or internet. Nice bathroom - proper bath. A great experience.

Spacious, clean, and so pleased with our entire experience. We have three little ones with us and the books and toys in the room were an extra helpful addition to keep them occupied. Host is super prompt in responses and so kind! Great proximity to Dublin City Centre. Take advantage of her home if it's open!

This was great value for money. The room was clean. Tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing board. Very quiet considering its location. 5 min drive to Liffey valley shopping centre and about 15 mins to Blanchardstown shopping centre. Staff were exceptional and very helpful. The room size was adequate. The surrounding area was lovely and the nearby village of Lucan is well worth a visit for eating out and buying basics.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, excellent breakfast, close to buses, and local village nearby. The older style hotel had lovely historic details. Parking was great and reception staff all fantastic. They gave us a continental breakfast at 4.30 am in the lobby before we left for an early flight.

Location is perfect. A house within a nice village with a beautiful land all around and at the same time easy and quick access to the motorways. Pedestrian access through the property land to the village was convenient. The friendly dog and the trampoline were two added bonuses. Wifi and TV worked well too.

Dates of stay 21-25 June. Mount Pleasant is a gem of a place to stay. A rural 18th century mansion house with beautiful grounds, yet close to the thriving village of Lucan. From there it's a C3 bus to the heart of Dublin. Ensuite with a comfortable bed and towels provided. You'll be self-catering but the large modern country kitchen has everything you need. Sean is a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Caroline and Ian.
