Absolutely romantic little cabin in the middle of nowhere (on a farm), surrounded by cute animals (horses, duck, sheep and a dog). This cottage has the perfect size for two, including the bed (they are usually very small in Iceland but not here). It has a fully functional kitchen including fridge and microwave, very nice porcelain and overall the owner choose not only very tasteful furniture and fittings but also good quality. Unfortunately we had a cloudy night as this place is ideal for Aurora Borealis watching otherwise. Super nice and responsive owner too.

I wish I could give the staff 10 stars. They went out of the way to accommodate me when I messed up my reservation dates- truly felt like the best Christmas gift ever. (And they did so with nothing short of absolute kindness.) In addition, they do an exceptional job keeping the place clean. The Northern Lights were visible directly from the cottage windows, too. Felt like a little secluded retreat in the middle of nowhere.

It's a place where culture meets nature. To top it, the warm and wonderful welcome from the owner and family. Would highly recommend this place if it's available. We felt home in the surroundings which were new to us.
