The location at the near the top of the hill/mountain was easy to find and view at every time of day was really lovely. Sunrise and sunset were particularly amazing. View of the lake is quite special. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. Well equipped kitchen and rooms. Parking was on the property and very secure. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful, available whenever needed. Lovely breakfast items provided as well as pasta, sauce etc.

There was everything one can possibly need The main room was very big and comfy We really liked the style and the guest was very nice and helpful. The location was great easy access to Baveno Stresa Mattarone and the Borromee islands. The cottage had a great lake view.

We also enjoyed the breakfast of fresh pastries and other European fare. Natalino, who co-owns this historic family villa with his brother, was such an interesting person who seemed to take delight in sharing with me (in English) the history of the Villa pre–WW I, the tragic role it played in WW ll, and how his family eventually became the owners of it.
