At first we couldn't find it. But after a phonecall to the number at the bookingreservation, we received the right address. The host was humble, very friendly and we felt really welcome there. We got a little tour on her farm and met her lovely family. Thank you for the great stay. We definitely recommend this place. Greetings Ernst & Laura

Old mud style is really amazing. We loved it. Breakfast on the roof with nice view was great. It was in peaceful and calm part of the village.

It was a unique experience to sleep in a real old mud house in Al Hamra village. It's like being part of the Country heritage. The place has all modern hotel fearures like air conditioning and wi-fi, all fitted in a typical mud house. It is really clean, and on top the staff was friendly and nice. There are tea and coffee tables throughout the place, so that guests can enjoy hot drinks at anytime.

We had high expectations and were not disappointed. Wonderful feeling of hospitality and a bonus to be greeted by 3 lively dogs. The host was very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions for the trip to Jabal al Akhdar the next day. Al Hamra village is not to be missed. A very nice museum nearby is not to be missed, exceptional staff showed us around an old house and life in former times. All in all a wonderful time in Al Hamra and Bait Al Aali

The warm hospitality here was excellent! We had a very comfortable two-day stay. Lovely views from the rooftop, where it’s set up for enjoying the surrounds with tables/chairs. Easy parking; walking distance to the ruins of the old village, the museum and the wadi/palm grove. Great aircon and wifi. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Canyon Rest House Jabal Shams with our family and friends. The fireplace and BBQ area were nice, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a refrigerator and microwave. The three bedrooms and living room were comfortable. Some people at other villas were not friendly, but the owner of this place was very nice. I recommend staying here.

The building is located in the old part of Al Hamra and has been lovingly restored. Although the rooms are simple, they are comfortable and tidy. Highlight is the roof terrace with incredible views of the surrounding village and mountains. If you are looking for an authentic experience in a unique, historic setting (whilst not expecting luxury), this is a nice place.
