At first we couldn't find it. But after a phonecall to the number at the bookingreservation, we received the right address. The host was humble, very friendly and we felt really welcome there. Real Omani experience. Saif made us feel so welcome. Showed us around and took us to see the sunset. Made a fire for us in the evening. Traditional Omani breakfast was lovely. Beds and bedding super comfortable.

It's like being part of the Country heritage. The place has all modern hotel fearures like air conditioning and wi-fi, all fitted in a typical mud house. It is really clean, and on top the staff was friendly and nice. There are tea and coffee tables throughout the place, so that guests can enjoy hot drinks at anytime.

Wonderful feeling of hospitality and a bonus to be greeted by 3 lively dogs. The host was very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions for the trip to Jabal al Akhdar the next day. Al Hamra village is not to be missed. A very nice museum nearby is not to be missed, exceptional staff showed us around an old house and life in former times. All in all a wonderful time in Al Hamra and Bait Al Aali

Highlight is the roof terrace with incredible views of the surrounding village and mountains. If you are looking for an authentic experience in a unique, historic setting (whilst not expecting luxury), this is a nice place.
