The house and it’s location overlooking the ocean was exceptional. It came fully equipped with everything you needed, including plug adapters, washing liquids, shampoo, shower gel, basic cooking ingredients (oils, vinegars, herbs and spices etc). Loved the wine cabinets where you can buy wines provided by Hugo at supermarket prices. We were left a welcome basket containing breads, biscuits, cheese, fruit juice etc and even got the chance to try some of Hugo’s fabulous home brew! The location is great with Angra being only half an hour drive. There are a few little supermarkets close by to the house but I would recommend stocking up at the larger ones in town.

The house is wonderful and Carlos is a vey good host. He speaks very good and was very helpful. He could also help you if you need to rent a car at a good price so it would be good to ask about it when you book the house. The house belonged to his grandmother and it was a wonderful experience to see how the azoreans lived. The floor is of lava stones and all looks very traditional. We could use the barbeque in the garden and it was great. Praia do Vittoria worked on some really nice beaches and they are close by the the propert. Its an easy walk.

Quiet, rural location on the edge of a village with pleasant countryside views towards the coast. Conveniently located for the airport and beach/facilities in Praia Vitoria a few minutes away. Friendly, amenable host provided fresh bread every morning for breakfast along with butter, cheese, ham, juice, tea and fresh coffee.
