The house had everything included a family (with young children) needs, And there was a nice little garden with a lot of sunshine and shade where the kids could play. it was only a 10 min walk from the old castle. Maria was a great help throughout our stay.

Ana & Mario were great hosts and went out of their way to meet all our needs and make our stay excellent. Their home was immaculate and the location was the most peaceful and quiet we have enjoyed in Portugal with an amazing view of the valley and city of Santiago do Cacem. We would definitely come again.

A pleasant surprise with lots of more upmarket features and larger rooms with beautiful peaceful views. Bikes available and a stunning pool. Our host also recommended some great restaurants nearby including a particularly cheap but delicious local spot by the petrol station, (get the shrimp rice and house desert!). Highly recommended, one of the best places we stayed in a 2 week trip to Portugal.

The house is a very traditional old villa on the top of a hill, next to the medieval castle, run by two brothers and their young and friendly staff. Everyone is very kind and helpful and the atmosphere is very pleasant, they make you feel at home. Recommended for people who don’t mind travel by car and like to experience local customs.
