Situated high up on the ridge, Strode House offers magnificent views of the Knysna lagoon, the famous Knysna Heads, forests and Outiniqua Mountain Range. It features a private pool with hot tub.

This double-storey features a fully equipped kitchen with Smeg gas oven, double door fridge, ice machine, dishwasher, microwave. The lounge and 8-seater dining table are elegantly furnished and complete with Smart Curved TV. The pool lounge opens up to the swimming pool and is equipped with a stainless steel fire place and gas barbecue.

The house is amazing, especially bath on the balcony, jacuzzi, pool and inside barbecue. The house is spacious with nice bedrooms and launge area, the host Martin is very friendly and helpful - he let us use the washing machine and the dryier. I left my passport in the house and Martin called me ASAP, which helped me save a lot of time and nerves. We really regret we couldn't stay longer.

There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave. You can enjoy a lake view from the upper-level rooms and a garden view from all the lower-level rooms.

First of all, the most important thing is that yes, you have the entire house to yourself. This is truly incredible and we weren't completely sure when we booked, so it was a bit exciting to find out we had the whole place. You can choose which rooms to stay in. The top two rooms have a rooftop terrace with a fantastic view. The house is generally quite large, a bit older and worn, but this adds to its charm. The kitchen is better equipped than our own at home. The key handover and information we received during check-in were fantastic, thank you again. The garden is very beautiful and inviting for relaxation. Especially when traveling with a larger group, this is the perfect accommodation. However, even as a couple in the large house, it was extremely exciting and unbeatable for this price. Many things can be explored on foot, but we still recommend having a car to really explore the surrounding area. We felt very comfortable and safe, and can definitely recommend this accommodation.

The property was fabulous! The property managers were easy to contact and any requests were actioned quickly. The property is very well kept and beautifully decorated which creates a very homey and relaxing space. The pool was clean and a great addition. The beds were comfortable and there was enough ventilation including windows and ceiling fans. the outdoor wood bath was also a lovely touch. The property had some relaxing music playing when we arrived at the property, which was another great touch :) There was plenty of utensils and 2 fridges, so we had enough space for food and drinks. Great selection of teas as well. The area felt and appeared safe and clean. This was evident in the fact that not many of the houses had excess security (as one usually sees in other parts of South Africa).

The place was absolutely breathtaking! It was even better than the pictures. Everything met our expectations and more. The jacuzzi was fantastic and easy to control. The cabin was stunning. And the shower is definitely my favourite. My partner and I explored the surrounding farms and forests and even met some of the cows. Lize is an amazing host. We will definitely be coming back soon. Totally recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape with peace, beautiful scenery and fresh air.

    The view at Villa Paradisa is absolutely breathtaking. The room we stayed in had the most luxurious and soft carpets and lets not forget to mention the underfloor heating in the bathroom! We were there in the middle winter so these additional luxuries were such a treat.

    It was an amazing experience. The staff is very helpful and proactive. We had a free upgrade from a King room to Luxury Villa on the lake. There was such a beautiful view from the bedroom; very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was also great, with a big variety of food. The location was also great and easy to access by car.

    Everything about our stay was simply brilliant, from the warm and friendly welcome to the amazing rooms, pool and exceptional service. Truly outstanding and what a luxury. We also had a great chat with Rossano and Bianca who run the Paradise Collection venues. We warmly recommend a stay at Villa Afriakana and only wish we had stayed longer!

    the host have been outstandingly welcoming and hospitable. their retreat was the most beautiful little place of heaven we encountered during our trip with many beautiful details and full of facets. the lodge itself surprised with an astonishing south-western view over the village, which allowed us to watch the sun set from this place above the trees. we thank both of our hosts for the remarkable time and wish them all the best for the upcoming years. definitely worth a second visit!

    The resort truly offers everything you need to relax and recharge your batteries after a long year. The location is excellent. The Kids Club was a fantastic benefit and the two staff, Philani and Akhona made is great fun. Kids could not wait to go everyday. The waterfront villas gives you a unspoilt view of the nature reserve, Thessen Island and Knysna Heads. The private waterways at the resort means easy launching of your own watercraft.
