This was one of the best homestays I have experienced. The hosts are very friendly, and hospitality is superb. We received a very tasty homemade breakfast. The house is located very close to Matale town (about 1.5 km). The view from the balcony is amazing. Highly recommended.

The accommodation offers a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. -Such a beautiful property in the middle of astonishing nature, with all modern facilities. Just a few minutes away from Sigiriya and Pidurangala Rocks. - large, very clean and confortable rooms, with garden view. So quiet, all you hear is nature: birds, squirrels, gecko. By the way: we had no problems with mosquitos, i did not find any. - very good food. Just so you know you have to preorder breakfast because it takes a while to prepar. Same of lunch/dinner - staff very friendly and helpfull - we had 3 rooms booked and they checked and allowed us to use one room after checkout time (so we can shower after climbing Sigiriya on last day) - confortable pillows, very clean towels and sheets - they have a viewing deck, to Pidurangala, where we went for sunrise. One upstairs room had that view from balcony - having just a few rooms was also amazing, at one point we were the only guests.

This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Featuring a private entrance, the villa allows guests to maintain their privacy. Very nice welcoming with a mango juice. The owner was advising and helping with the organization of next trip. Our room was spacious and clean. We stayed only one night there as we were moving to another location but I totally recommend it for longer stay as well 😀

Providing free WiFi , Sigiriya Water Cottage also offers free private parking. This was a spectacular play to stay. A little oasis. The cottage was stunning with loads of space, aircon and plenty of hot water. The pool was incredibly clean and refreshing to swim in (almost heated from daytime sun), hosts were great at welcoming us and the most pleasant of people. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Different each morning. Hosts organised reasonably priced tuk tuks to polonnaruwa and onward travel to Kandy. We were also able to borrow the bikes to cycle to sigiriya rock. We went to dambulla en route from Colombo to sigiriya. Really enjoyed the stay. Would highly recommend!!!!!!

The lodge had a beautiful and peaceful garden filled with trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary tools and appliances, including pots, pans, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.

Our host and his family were just lovely! They provided us with tasty treats throughout our stay and the breakfast was huge and very tasty. The air conditioner worked very well.

The super friendly and very communicative owner gave good tips for hiking and showed us a nice waterfall nearby. Our highlight was that he organized a night-out in the village, showing us around the rice fields and the temple and serving us amazing local food in the village in the traditional way. If you are looking for a great local experience in the nature you came to the right place!

Continental and Asian breakfast options are available every morning at the villa. We really enjoyed our stay! The property is very good value for money, the owner is very friendly and kind, he took us to Pidurangala Rock and Polonnaruwa and charged very economical prices. We also ate dinner and breakfast, both traditional and very delicious. The hotel is nice, hippy style, we had a nice sleep, the amenities all work, is no luxury but is all clean. We felt very welcomed and would definetly go back if we were to stay again in Dambulla.

With garden views, Vihanga Village is situated in Dambulla and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. It is located 22 km from Sigiriya Rock and provides a business centre. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. If you are looking for an off the grid place to stay and discover the Dambulla area, I highly recommend the Vihanga Village. A family run place where they even provide the best breakfast ever. The Sambol is to die for with bread. The owner was such a good human that would check on us each morning and provided whatever we asked for. One of our group member had to go to the hospital late night, the owner while being sick himself, drove us to the hospital. I would go back to @vihangavillage each time I am back in the area. A beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. A true natural gem!

The property was built in 2016 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. Each room has a balcony with views of the garden. Great location. Host was very kind and attentive. Relaxing and quiet outdoor area.
